i think there is distortion going on in burst mode.. not sure whyA few shots from yesterday.
So what do you think? There are some differences between the pictures indeed.

I also use the 4.2 camera. For me it's faster and the photos it makes are on par with the ones made using burst.
I've patched the 4.2 camera to support all of the resolutions Z/ZL support (9, 13, etc).
I'm uploading it now.
Update: here's the link
It's pretty bewildering. It's like no-one at Sony even looked at the results of the different modes.A few shots from yesterday.

Try using burst mode in good light conditions, or camera360 ultimate in good light/medium light conditions. It's the best choice by now...I'm sorry, but not one of the pictures you guys posted looked 100% in focus or crisp enough for me.
I've come from the iPhone 5 which made really great photos, but even by following your various suggestions, the Z camera (or at least the software), is extremely disappointing.
I have also to agree here. It's contradictory, but in one hand we have a screen that's a little bit washed out... on the other hand we have a camera that takes over saturated pictures... I love my Z, but this is really annoying... I hope this gets fixed in the 4.2 update that seems to be released soon... or not...I'm sorry, but not one of the pictures you guys posted looked 100% in focus or crisp enough for me.

Are you on the latest firmware? The pictures come out great now compared to the original firmware, putting it next to my wifes s4 they seem the same if not better sometimes.to the OP, I too came from xperia arc to z only to be disappointed with the camera. the arc, on GB fw, was great for everyday pics. the z is just poor. ill try ur suggestions and hope it helps.
