Hi everyone. First of all sorry if this is a wrong section for my post but i'm new here and i don't know well where to start.
A few months back i had bought a Galaxy S7 SM-G930P. It is unlocked. I am from Uruguay and i use it with Antel brand.
These are my phone specifications:
First of all I want to talk about an issue that I have since I bought it, which is the "Samunsung DM Service", a very annoying notification that appears in my phone everytime I turn it on or when I change from WiFi to 3G/4G service. I have read about it and if I am not mistaken this notification appears because I use the phone with a line that is not the original one, Sprint. And maybe the only solution is to root the device to freeze the apk.
In second place I have another issue in reference to 3G/4G service. Like I said I use it with Antel line which is the bigger telecommunication company here in Uruguay and they couldn't help me.
I have my phone in 4G mode, but when someone call me or I want to call, it doesn't change to 3G so later I usually receive a message from a lost call.
The only solution I could find is to force my phone to stay in 3G, because is the only way that it works properly.
I have noticed that when I change it to CDMA, Automatic or LTE, I can not choose my phone line;
I mean, the section "Operadores de red" (line) appears in grey color and I can not select it.
Maybe it is an issue with the uruguayan line, but I have the doubt so if you can help me it would be great.
One last topic.
I have read about a 930U rom which works in any S7 device. If it is true, which are the changes that my device will suffer?
Maybe it helps me with that notification problem that I mentioned first. But if I do it, it will lock my device? Because like I said, I use it with a foreign line and I am afraid to lose that possibility changing the rom.
If I change to this rom, what I have to consider? Because I'm new with this and I don't wanna mess my phone.
