Software update to 4.4.2 has not fixed the yellow tint.
I have update my software to 4.4.2 from 4.4 I also tried 4.4.1 and it has not fixed the yellow tint at all. I have read some posts where people are saying that 4.4.1 or 4.4.2 has fixed the yellow tint, these are all misleading and I can confirm that software updates have nothing to do with yellowish colours. It is definitely a hardware fault. I think the custom kernels who fix this issue are also doing so by adding the blue colour which sets blue colour value to more than 0 for all screen pixels this is not good either as you have lost all those colours forever where value of blue colour should be 0. This is clearly a hardware fault and can not be fixed by software like custom kernels etc.
