[A2017G] Oreo Update OTA is finally available

Hello. I have Axon 7 A2017G. Came with older MM version (B10?). Manually updated to B9 Germany Nougat. After this I've no more OTA. Any tips, how to update? Get B10, B12 or noone between Oreo B2? And should I use #35 OTA file?

I can't. It enforces PIN unlock so the reader is now useless.

Use this if you've installed twrp : A2017X_remove _all_ locksettings
Look here for some info.
Or delete them manualy.

Mine is completely stock except a few removals via ADB. I actually want the security as I use phone banking, Google Pay, Concur etc and now that PIN on boot is implemented I can use Microsoft InTune portal and go back to having just one phone with personal and work SIMs but it's just annoying that I can't pick up the phone and unlock with a finger. I have to manually enter my PIN every time.

So after a restart of your phone your SD card is recognized by music players? I get "Samsung SD card recognized" on every restart and I have to configure it as an external SD storage that is so annoying. (I didn't unplugged SD card before ugrade)

- Previous official Nougat roms had "Screen Lock App" to lock the screen on touch easily. It isn't included in Oreo. I know there are tons of on Google Playstore, but they require admin rights to operate.

Yeah, it's missing the screen lock app, so I cannot simulate a double tap to lock via Nova gestures. And indeed the sdcard gets unmounted with each reboot somehow. Hopefully there is going to be a follow-up patch update. Also when I play Ingress and switch to another app for a short time, it gets killed pretty quickly, so RAM management is maybe still not ideal. Other that I haven't encountered any other issues yet. Camera still sucks, but what can I do anyways. At least now I can say that this phone was worth the buy since it has received two major updates (which is a good thing for an ex-flagship phone).

This is the real bummer to me since Screen Lock app is my most frequent used app. It so convenient to tap on the app icon to initiate screen lock.

Oreo Update for ZTE Axon 7 Australia

I thought i'd try an OTA update at 0030 this morning and i also got a notification that ZTE A2017GV1 .3.0B02 was available to download which i did and the phone is working just fine!!

Still nothing on the ZTE Australia website about the Orea update.

I just restore this EDL with Axon7_EDL_Tool? I couldn't get into fastboot so had to use Axon7_EDL_Tool.
Tried and went into boot loop

Force went into EDL mode and miflash is able to detect phone then flash full G oreo it shows could not find programmer files... stuck here... pls help.

Sometimes when you stay in EDL mode without actually doing anything for a few minutes, it appears to timeout. Try rebooting into EDL mode and try again.

Just managed get dotos running... U manage to get the Oreo G edl working? Just unzip everything into flash/full then run the edl tool? Just couldn't get it work either in MIFlash or EDL tool

Redownaload edl zip file and tried again... miraculously its working now.. wtf... not sure what went wrong at the first file.

Using Oreo G B02 for half a day and battery is really way better than any other custom room but it also not as smooth as any other custom rom out there at this moment.
