In my case, I think it was a coincidental carrier/network update that's helped me. I still disconnect when manually disabling data etc, but I've had 2 dropouts over the past few weeks when I would normally have several every day.Unfortunately seems like my Poco F3 which yesterday updated to miui 14.0.7 is still suffering the WiFi dropout in bad mobile signal areas![]()
I recorded a special video for you, I updated AA this morning as well and all fine:In my case, I think it was a coincidental carrier/network update that's helped me. The only report that MIUI 14/A13 fixes the Xiaomi issue is from a Mi 11 Lite 4G (Global) user on this forum and there was no video. It could also be the AA beta they are using.
I recorded a special video for you, I updated AA this morning as well and all fine:
Yeah 11 Lite 4G,Well that looks promising, is your phone the Mi 11 Lite? I have the Poco F3 and I upgraded it to 14.0.7 Global yesterday. AA wired just didn't want to kick into life the first time I tried it when connecting the cable. Went shopping in Lidl and tried it after that and it worked! So trick is to go shopping in Lidl and things will magically fix themselves!
I'm not holding out much hope as to whether the mobile data dropout bug has been fixed on the F3 with AA Wireless from the comment above but I will try it later.
Thanks for the video.Yeah 11 Lite 4G,
I heard it is fixed in xiaomi.eu for some users there as well:

New - Android Auto wireless connection aborts - network change
Hello, I think many of you know the error that on Xiaomi devices wireless Android Auto does not work stably. As I understand it, it is due to the fact that when changing mobile cells or a failure of mobile reception, the WLAN and BT module is reset briefly. Thus, the wireless Android Auto...xiaomi.eu

MIUI 14 - 23.2.21/23
Is this version of MIUI 14 has Photon motor technology? I heard it's not in every version of MIUI. Photon Motor Technology is just a marketing name to push MIUI 14. Technically speaking it's a core code optimization that had been building step-by-step by Xiaomi. Legacy devices that be...xiaomi.eu
Maybe you need to downgrade to 14.0 2?! Really don't know.
Like I said above I updated my AA today and my posted video is with this AA version:Thanks for the video.
Looking at those posts, it seems to be a specific version of AA that fixed the issue. One guy subsequently updated MIUI and the issue came back until he went back to AA 9.0.630824.
It makes me think AA might have fixed the issues with a (less demanding) lengthy timeout. I'm not using the beta like you, but I took a store update to 9.1.631044 yesterday and will give it a test. I'm actually waiting for LOS 20, but I might experiment with AA versions before the switch.
So you switched from the beta to the official release? You previously posted an image of a beta version number.Like I said above I updated my AA today and my posted video is with this AA version:
Nah, beta testers always get both releases one by one.So you switched from the beta to the official release? You previously posted an image of a beta version number.
I'm not sure what you mean by that.
Depends on the phone. On some phones this is possible, on others not.Hi folks. I've just bought and installed AAWireless. Everything works great and no problems whatsoever with the wireless adapter. The only thing is I used to have a routine on my Galaxy A52S that turned on the hotspot when connected to my car bluetooth. But when hotspot is on the Wireless Android Auto doesn't connect anymore. I've tried both 5GHz and 2.4GHz. Is it possible to share my phone internet connection with other devices without breaking Android Auto Wireless projection via AAWireless? Thanks in advance.
Sorry for the late response. I turned on start/stop and android auto notification appears and says looking for android auto. Then the aawireless app notification icon says connecting to device and then connected to android auto but the icon on my head unit never appears. It also disconnects quickly and does the whole process over and over and over. Then when I try to make another log I had to bring it inside again and I start debugging and then press stop debug and create bug report but it keeps connecting and disconnecting over and over and I get errors could not change debug mode and could not get debugging status I your aawireless device powered on? Then I get log downloaded failed while my phone vibrates over and over while trying to start stop Android Auto. I think something happened when I updated my device when I got my new s23 ultra as it was working fine till after that update. And maybe the new phone is being blamed for something that happened to brick the device during the update. But I'm down to try anything else you might have up your sleeves?I have two logs now. So what's I'm seeing is AAWireless connecting to the phone, waiting for the phone to connect to the AA Bluetooth profile, but that never happens. You can possibly also try to enable start / stop from the settings in the companion app. When that works, Android Auto is broken somehow.
AnyoneHello everyone, I'm new here.
I'm a AAWireless dongle user since February I think. With the first one I had random disconnection issues, sometimes it would stay connected a few seconds, sometimes 5-10 minutes.
Then with the second and current one I had a better experience, but again, frequent disconnections (sometimes it takes 15-20 mins, other times 1 minute...). I've tried all sorts of cables/settings in the companion app, tried an S22 and an S23, but no luck, same behavior.
At the moment I have an S21 Ultra and Skoda Superb 3 with Columbus HU.
All the apps are up to date, the HU as well.
Device name: AAW2ac7e959.
App version: 3.21.
AA version: 9.1.631044
Any help will be much appreciated!
Ok, good to know. This is a total hack though, hacking into the AA protocol. I guess we can include it as an option in firmware 3.0... these kinds of issues come and go though with Google tinkering in AA.Update received. I will test and give feedback.
*** Update: on a trip of about 1 hour, not a single audio glitch. Thank you very much.
Check your VPN settings. You should have a whitelist that allows you to bypass apps of your choice.Maybe I'm to naiv, I just thought there couldn't be a way to let AA use the normal connection but the rest of the phone uses the VPN.
Then I'm pretty sure the audio stutter firmware will not help. We've been having more tickets about audio stuttering lately, so good chance Google changed stuff in Android Auto. But I'll enable the firmware, let's sew if it helps. It worked fine for 5 month until the last days, now stuttering with two devices without any changes were made.
Yeah, it will be a bit delayed. Saving the settings without changing anything should speed it up. Please report back wether it helped or not
I know I should ignore these posts, but these are the comments why I'm honestly considering completely dropping out any forum / reddit / social media. What's the point? We have support, we have warranty, we have a refund policy. It might be "beta" for you, but we shipped over 100k devices and believe me or not, for most, it just works. It's the same thing for all of these dongles. They will not work perfectly for all, there are just too many variables.I used to get the same thing. I believe it is an issue with AA/Google rather than AAW. In any event, I have had to give up on AAW as I can't connect to it/won't update, just sits there with a constant light-blue light. It is a (very expensive) paper weight on my desk now. It is just "too Beta" for my requirements.
I have now got a Carlink 2022 Android box which works flawlessly for me.
