Really??? U use the phone, and u don't even know your phones codename??? Both are one and the same. In global, it's S2 and in India, it's Y2!!!?

With all its known bugs, this is still the best custom ROM for the Redmi S2 that I've found so far. I hope that @peaktogoo sticks with it.

One more bug to report: The battery charge indicator when powered down looks like it was sized for a 1080 display, rather than a 720. It's too large and off-center.

This is not "The best custom ROM". This is "The only custom ROM" for this device! ?

It's like no one here has ever had a full time job. Peaktogoo is/was doing this for free. How would any of you feel if you were being constantly bothered to do something, and then not get paid.

At the end of the day. I can understand him getting tired or just not bothering. It's a budget phone. If you really want to see this happen, open up a way to donate or pay peaktogoo to do it. If not, stay silent.

@peaktogoo there are a lot of people complaining about a lack of 64bit. Maybe set up a Bounty source for this and make yourself some money. I will donate.

What???!!! Dude, first of all, GSI and ROMs are both different. So don't tell GSI-ROMs. And what you told about "mixed results", it depends on the GSI. Suppose you're using PE, u get almost no features for customisations. But then, use Evolution X, u get same PE experience but with so many features. This is the mixed results u get! Yes, I mean you can install the PE GSI, but the Play Store will throw a constant string of alerts until you register it as an uncertified device. Just about all of the GSIs have a problem with flashing during screen fades. However, the GSIs are options to install Android Pie, if that is something you really want. The PE vs. Evolution X debate really just comes down to personal preference.

Personally, I prefer LineageOS...and am hopeful for a 16.0 build soon.

There is soo many bugs in Redmi Y2 miui 10 ....u cant apply Launchers because of bugs in icons and animations battery drainage and extreme heat even in normal use vibration bug ....plus they are not giving bugs fix .... bad experience with Mi

Today, I install it and everything works fine.

I Think, Error 255 is problem with memory.
Process i did is- Boot to twrp/install recoveryTWRP.img(from 1 post)/reboot to twrp/wipe/format data-yes/reboot to twrp/wipe-factory reset/install-lineageROM(1 post)/Optional flash Gapps(opengapps-ARM64/A8.1)/flash magisk/reboot.

Wait some minutes and you are done.

Clearly the file is corrupt. I suggest u download the file again and try to install the new file.
I also experienced this problem while installing gapps. Had to download again.
