Today, I install it and everything works fine.

I Think, Error 255 is problem with memory.
Process i did is- Boot to twrp/install recoveryTWRP.img(from 1 post)/reboot to twrp/wipe/format data-yes/reboot to twrp/wipe-factory reset/install-lineageROM(1 post)/Optional flash Gapps(opengapps-ARM64/A8.1)/flash magisk/reboot.

Wait some minutes and you are done.

Yeah, I did exactly that way /:

Clearly the file is corrupt. I suggest u download the file again and try to install the new file.
I also experienced this problem while installing gapps. Had to download again.

Ok. I will download again, test and come back here to tell what's happened. Tks

Via fastboot, guy. Put the file in the directory of fastboot and type "fastboot flash recovery xxxxx.img". Simple!

ERRATA FOR OTHERS USERS: my error occurred cause I was flashing the rom via twrp 32bit. Stupid thing, but it happens. I downloaded the twrp that is in post and this solved my problems. That's all! :good:

did the project stop?

if not why, the project I see has no updates. even though I really want to try it. and honestly I want to use the kernel and the vendor for other ROM ports, of course for redmi s2 users. I understand that this action is definitely not approved by you, but if we look at other s2 users who would love to try rom rom that is based on arm64.

My goal is to ask this, can I join the Redmi S2 mainteners? to reproduce the rom of course. I can do ROM port, but using base kernel and arm64 vendor, of course. if you agree to my request, honestly I am very grateful. I hope you agree to help me make some roms for Redmi S2.

The camera is not working at all.. neither stock nor AOSP.
U can install though. It might start working in later stable releases.

Today i was messing around with this rom and found out a few tings i dont know if it was brought up. DONT ASK FOR FIXES. I EXPLAIN ALL I CAN!!

1. SELinux kernel can be set to enforcing i believe with: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-selinux-switch-t3656502 . I had to reboot for it to apply but it worked, to what the privacy guard says. WARNING UPON SOME REBOOTS COM.ANDROID.PHONE WONT LOAD PROPERLY, JUST REBOOT YOUR DEVICE OR TOGGLE ENFORCING ON/OFF. LOCKING THE PHONE MEANS AUTOBOOT TO RECOVERY DUE TO TE LOCKSCREEN BUG. DISABLE START AT BOOT TO FIX FREQUENT REBOOTS IF IT HAPPENS. STICK WITH PERMISSIVE IF YOU DONT HAVE MUCH EXPERIENCE WITH ROMS. It's a tedious process but it proves the fix is possible by user trail and error.

2. Youtube may be a constant loading bar but Youtube Go works just fine.

3. This rom being installed on the device first allows for flashing of some GSI Arm64 images through fastboot (Has to be android 8.1 or it will boot to fastboot). Recommended to download stock rom fastboot file. https://en.miui.com/download-345.html .

4. MAGISK so far works fine, some modules don't work obviously

DO NOT BEG FOR ANY FIXES!!!!! IF YOUR DEVICE BECOMES BROKEN DONT BLAME ME.

5. I haven't been able to get xposed framework running.

These are simple fixes you can do yourself without pestering the developer.
HE AS A LIFE!!!!!

Yes I have ran into some bugs, mainly the random reboots or com.android.phone not starting properly. Other then that it has the W.I.P bugs you listed. Thanks again for your work here. P.S..... May I source your rom for the Halium Linux Kernel or the Alpine Linux Kernel?? A non-gsi rom is necessary for proper driver injection.
