Is reboot into recovery required after the factory reset? In the original official thread the instruction says so.
I've bricked my device yesterday just by following the OP instructions, not blaming anyone, just saying (Qualcomm crash dump mode, no fastboot or anything worked)
I still don't know what went wrong...
I didn't flash to both slots just to the active one (A)

OFFTOPIC: Restored my device via MSM, and proceeded to flash derpfest, in that case, I flashed it to both slot, restarted and it booted into OOS10 like nothing happened, and I was like o-kay :)

EDIT: Apparently I have to use fastboot --set-active=a OR b to switch slots, quite misunderstood this, as I was switching slots in the recovery, but as it turns out it actually does not switch the actual slot just changes which slot it should boot next time.

Update: Managed to get it working, just followed the installation instructions found in LineageOS thread by JGADZ, anyhow I'm not impressed with the performance, stutters everywhere, google news and messenger for instance are really stuttery compared to OOS 10, 11. Tweaking the CPU gorvernor to performance mode does help, but it drains battery faster. I get better performance on OOS 11 while having the little cores set to min 576 MHZ and the 2 big cores to min 787MHz

anyone else encounter an error in the final step?

sideload to 47% then quite by itself. And I am stuck in fast boot mode.

hey RTamas I m in the same boat with you. I followed the ops instrction and my phone ended up in dump mode. Can you elaborate a little on how you reset the phone with MSM? When i connect it to my computer it says Firehouse communication Handshake failed then it just loses connection.

also it shows up as unknown usb device (device descriptor request failed) in device manager.

Check the MsM thread, anyway I managed to get it working, as it turns out have to be on android 11 otherwise it will crash into qualcomm dump mode

welp, i just downgraded it from android 11 to android 10 because i read here

https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/rom-official-11-oneplus-nord-n10-billie-pixel-experience-aosp.4243533/post-85663399

that PE only works on android 10. Now i have to upgrade it again.
Well, I went back to android 10 and installed 11, once you are on 11 install pixel experience, I know it states 10 is required, but in reality it isn't. For me the only way to avoid the bricked case is to proceed from Android 11. Also I followed JGADZ's instructions from Lineage thread (somewhere at page 3)

Thank you! It seems the only option for my device, Metro BE88CF was to upgrade to android 11 and following the steps by JGADZ
HERE

just to clarify a bit in step 4 I did not boot into android 11 recovery but rather the custom rom recovery, in this case the pixel experience recovery and i did a factory reset in there. i also did not install magi disk

1. Download Recovery.IMG and ROM.zip from OP. Upgrade device to android 11.
2. Get phone into fastboot, <adb reboot bootloader>
3. <fastboot flash recovery RECOVERY.IMG> then use volume buttons to go to recovery now.
4. From pixel experience recovery, use volume key to factory data reset. then Advanced boot into bootloader.
5. NOW <fastboot boot RECOVERY.IMG>, takes you into recovery directly and nails down the wiggly partition.
6. Update, ADB sideload ROM.ZIP
7. Reboot system. You now have pixel experience.

If you run into the brick/Qualcom crash dump like i did, you can follow the steps I took HERE and using MSMdownloader tool to unbrick and restore

Yep, I think the instruction at that point is wrong, you actually have to reboot to the newly flashed recovery, not the stock one, I did the same as well, I dont have any experience with GCam, also tried pixel experience but for me it is quite laggy compared to lineage or derpfest.
Ended up re-flashing the stock OOS (performance+ kernel) I think in terms of stability, it is quite decent

I have installed the Pixel Experience rom and so far so good, but I would definitely like to root. What would the procedure be? Can I use the stock boot.img that was already patched https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/root-n10-using-magisk.4197369/ , or do I have to pull the boot.img from pixel rom? I initially thought the rom would be already rooted, but apparently not so if you could let me know please how to do it.....thank you

I am having an issue. Every time I run "adb sideload rom.zip" it says "cannot read rom.zip"

I have installed the latest adb drivers, tried a different mirror, and I keep getting the same error.

TIA for your help.
