About to Root, Any Advice?

Hey guys I just got my Galaxy S III with AT&T and I'm about to root it. I'm looking for:

• Suggested Roms
• Mods
• Apps
• Suggested Rooting Methods

I'd be in great appreciation to anyone who shares their preference and will definitely take said preferences into account. Thanks guys!

Firstly, I would check what model you have......as anything from this forum is likely to brick your phone if you have an AT&T phone.
