My N1 was purchased two years ago but I have had about 4 since then, most of them replaced under warranty but I did have to pay for one power button repair which was out of warranty. That failed within 90 days (I must be unlucky) and they sent me another one at not charge.
Now 5 months after that the power button has failed. To their credit HTC is going to send me another unit at no charge. Now I am still running stock 2.3.6 but I did root the phone and am doing regular Titanium backups. Can I assume if I send the phone back to replaced, when I get the new unit, all I have to do is root it again, install Titanium backup and restore the phone from one of the backups?
Just wondering since there would be some data potentially lost if I could not restore the entire phone.
Thanks
