**edit* I do miss the way HTC forces your contacts to use facebook photos. I wish there was a way for that too
There should be an option to sync Facebook with your current contacts when you install the Facebook app. At least it gave me one and their profile pics are showing up in my contacts.

This is a great phone so far. I'm trying to decide if I should get my wife one or the S4. She likes her iPhone 5, but is considering the move.

Great phone nice upgrade from my note 2. Curious what nexus 5 will offer. But thinking of sticking with this phone until note 4 comes out.

I am coming from the Motorola Atrix 4g.
the note is much much bigger and I must say that I do not miss the atrix 4g at all.
the only thing that bugs me about samsung is the power button on the side and the home button wakeup
I disabled the home button wakeup after rooting and so far I don't think I could go back to a phone without a stylus.
I am a very long time smart phone user (cingular/htx 8125 wizard). and the note 3 so far is the best for business usage that I have used.

I am normally a cyanogenmod/aokp/pacman die hard but the stock rom + apex and a few root tweaks seems to work excellently.
for the first time ever I do not really even care about the bootloader.

How is the Display Birgthness in Sun light, poor like the Galaxy S3?...
Because it was really hard read websites on the the S3 Outdoor.
Don't listen to reviews saying that the note 3 has poor direct sunlight visibility. This phone's screen is highly visible outdoors. My wife has the mega, which is LCd and very bright and she made a comment that my phone was brighter than hers when we were out and about yesterday.

I sync the contacts and the ones who aren't already in my contact list, the pics show up. The contacts that are already there use their own picture..which I guess is saved to my Google contacts

This ^^^

When left on auto brightness, it really cranks up when outside on a sunny day. Absolutely no problems here seeing the screen outdoors.

I am on 30 hours with 3.5 hours on screen time. Most of it WIFI and blue tooth to my Galaxy Gear and still have 30% battery. This phone amazes me everyday and love that I am not bored with it after a week.

Like others have said, when set to auto brightness the phone gets very bright when in direct sunlight, brighter than the highest manual setting available.

I was in full blast sunshine today and I could read everything very easily, it was extremely bright. I remember with the Note 2 that was almost impossible.
