When I tried it at 182, I got an open-heart android screen on bootup that said "no command". If I get that on 183, what should I do?

Factory reset the XT926 and start the cmd.exe again. You can also try another USB port on your PC or in the Developer Option under Settings, make sure that USB debugging and Allow mock locations are checked and what I also did is un-check the Verify apps over USB.

Make sure that Airplane Mode is on also.

EDIT: If you get the "No command", it failed and you will have to start again

I hate to be a pest , but I really would like to know which 183 version y'all are flashing. I need to know this ahead of time as its high onto impossible to get my wife's phone away from her to do this For her. I mainly need to root her phone for the sqlite tether hack. And I don't have a ton of time , so any help with versions would be greatly appreciated.

If you are on 183.46.15 firmware no need to flash any other firmware, just run hydrogenperoxide script during script if any failure occur remove the cable ASAP and try different usb ports .

But if you are on 182.46.15 firmware ist you have to install 183.46.15 firmware using RSDLite then run the script.

Update: 182.46.15 never would work for me, so I tried updating using RSD Lite 6.1.5, but it gave me an error having to do with getvar whenever I tried to flash , so I googled it and found that you have to use Notepad++ to remove the line that includes the word "getvar" and then it worked like a charm! Rooted with "Hydrogen PEROXIDE XT926", installed my apps and I'm off to the races! Thanks everybody!!! :)

Download & install Notepad++
Download the 183.46.15 firmware
Download & install motorola drivers
Download & install rsdlite 6.1.6-or-so
Download Hydrogen Peroxide x926
Boot phone in AP Fastboot mode
Connect phone to computer using original OEM cable
Wait for drivers to finish installing
Unzip your firmware into a folder
Make a backup of the xml file
Edit the xml file using Notepad++ and remove the ENTIRE line that includes "getvar", then save & exit
Open RSDLite & make sure it sees the phone
Click on the 3 dots to select the xml file in your firmware folder
Click on Flash (or something like that)
Wait a long time until it finishes, maybe 5-10 minutes
Once RSD Lite gives you success, close it
Boot the phone (it will take 10 minutes or so)
Run hydrogen peroxide & follow the instructions

I personally updated my XT926 using RSDLite to 183.46.15 and then rooted using Hydrogen Peroxide XT926 but I was wondering, where is this line (getvar) you need to edit???.

My XML in my firmware folder does not have this "getvar"??, where did you download your firmware from?

Glad to see this post (tail end of it) . If I am understanding correctly, already being at 183.46.15 on my xt926, I should be able to just run hydrogen peroxide and am good to go (with a fdr beforehand)?

That looks right, but I think I got mine from somewhere else if I remember right... somewhere they had a generic 1.0.0.5 version and the xt926 version listed as two separate downloads right beneath one another. The one you linked to should be fine though.
Thanks again. Going to test on my wife's old XT926....then do mine if it works.
