I came to the same conclusion regarding the screen driver. I'll reach out to vendor to see if they can help me out, though they haven't been too helpful so far. I may just switch to a different unit.

Maybe this is how you extract parts of firmware. It uses shell scripts, looks like runs on ubuntu linux (I tried on my macos and found missing ubuntu commands)

Because i am having issues getting i to show in the smaller window.
I keep getting the message "app doesnt support running in second screen", am i missing a option to check/uncheck to get maps to show in either ui17 or ui20?

I never encountered such error. Maybe your google maps is out of date somehow?

Looks like we have to update the firmware to newest release of 1.73.7 first.


I am currently running the first 1.73.7 version (17 August release) with older release of UI17.
it was working fine. today I have updated to the UI17/UI20, both UI gave me the same error message as yours.
I am guessing these new UI updates have to work with the new 1.73.7 firmware release.

now I am downloading the new 1.73.7 firmware, will let you know if this is the case or not.

Great info! UI17/UI20 posting time stamp is same date or later than latest 1.73.7. Perhaps this was the best indicator of potential dependency. Updated website to share this info

Interesting. My 13 Oct 22 1.73.7 wiped user data on update which wipes out any downloaded apps, updated apps, and data for all apps.

Wonder what is the difference? In the past, xyauto sometimes update firmware after initial posting with same name. Only way to know is from time stamp. FW is still 13 Oct 22 now so not sure this is the cause.

Despite the file path says three split screen. After install, old xyauto launcher shows up and I didn't search too much how anyway in the new firmware to enable the split screen launcher. Factory setting menu has a UI choice that didn't do anything previously. Perhaps it does something now? Didn't try it.

UI17/UI20 patches on xyauto server have 2 dependencies

1. latest Oct-13 fw to work correctly.esolution dependent mean
2. correct resolution HUs. Wrong resolution will brick with blank screen.

Haven't seen any significant improvement in awhile. If you do upgrade, note new firmware likely will wipe user data (Read NOTE 3)

These aftermarket HUs have dedicated connections in the rear for 2 USB ports (look in your HU's menu to see). Unless the wiring hardness adapter routed the old USB to the HU's USB connection, it won't work.

Here is your original HU's connection. Was the C connector plugged into anything to the aftermarket HU?

Most likely not connected thus not working. If you really want them to work, need to splice in the car's USB port to one of the aftermarket HU's USB ports. I don't think HU has a 3rd USB to tap into. As for aux, probably not worth trying to get it working unless really want to for some reason.

I have installed new version of zlink 3.9.43 from xygala.com, now all the music from Carplay are somewhat distorted.

Looks like I need to go back to the original zlink 3.9.27 version.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

You might need to reinstall 1.73.7 to recover matching zlink version. Not sure anyone who knows how to extract apks still hang out on this thread.

I managed to extract all the apks from 1.73.7.
Strangely. I couldn't find zlink.apk.
There is ZlinkActivationCode.apk, which is the only apk related to zlink.

Update!
Finally found the zlink apk. it was inside the vendor.new.dat.br.
I have uploaded zlink apk here, just in case someone needs it.
I believe this is the zlink ver 3.9.27 comes from the 1.73.7 firmware.
I haven't got chance to test it on my HU (now is midnight here in Australia), will do it tomorrow.

Managed to unbrick my Seicane unit. I had previously used the UI file in the 1280*720 folder and it didn't work. Since I had a 1280*720(mipi), it dawned on me that 720*1280 didn't make sense to be under the "horizontal" folder. So I downloaded UI8 from there and it worked. Sure did waste a lot of time trying to get the vendor to actually send me files. Oh well, it works. lol
