The popup windows that shows in-coming calls is likely a Bluetooth App popup. The app likely doesn't know anything about Android contacts.

HU's Android would need to know what you want without going calls whether to use its SIM or over BT. Doesn't sound like it has such option. xyauto is doing all BT call functions via BT app (other than turning on/off BT which it leaves to Android)

Thank you very much for your assistance. You are of course correct, after your advice I checked some more and I am able to use Bluetooth app for calls via phone. I was able to download / sync contacts from phone to BT app.

Thanks also for advice about wireless android auto. I also updated Zlink to 5.3.8. They connect. First option was installing Zlink app on phone and it was showing screen mirroring on HU. Further testing needed.

Anyone tested any other BT app on this unit? There are many on G Play...

Someone has the files needed to downgrade the MCU? The 2.1 version probably drains my batterie

I updated to MCU 2.1 about a month ago, nothing special good or bad with it. Yesterday I 'updated' with same 1.73.7 (three-split screen, had the same already on it), after restart MCU was still 2.1, so downgrading this was is not possible.

I assume you know how to use adb.

adb shell settings put system font_scale {float_representing_the_scale}

The font scales that are presented in the settings application: (as per android 10)

  • Small - 0.85
  • Default - 1.0
  • Large - 1.15
  • Largest - 1.30
You can use any number bigger than 1.30

Yes, I saw the samething in recent firmware. Need to enter developer option using standard Android method (tap os version (I think in About Car) about 5-10x)

Regarding developer option, I have random HU crashes waking up from sleep on car startup. Turned off developer option to see if problem goes away.

Well some updates here:
1-my hyundai santa fe 2012 CM version has canbus but it was never listed in any of the canbus options until recently I found an option for vertical hu for 07 santa fe. Erased the buttons and now they work

2-recovery mode
Sick of the mutex stuff of not having the 360view app listed on the mutex options and not been able to cancel the mute on reverse feature I decided to go the crazy route and try version 6gb of 1.73.7 on my 4gb unit. Oddly enough it started to update but it stopped during a validation and the recovery screen showed up vertically though. I tried to do a cache wipe but controlling that menu is quite hard.
Maybe we can try with other HU and document it and find a way to select options accordingly.
I'll play a bit more today as I hava some spare time

Cheers
Dan

MORE UPDATES FOR YT7260B

1-The folks at xyauto are getting lazy, they did not change the name of the directory for v 1.73.8 and the latest version was sitting inside the 1.73.7 folder since march 7th, so if you have a YT7260B the update is there, look for gongban_YT7260B_7250B-hw_S_12_ok-ota-v1.73.8.zip in XY public version > 7250-7260 > 7260B-7250B, latest software > Android 10.0 > Horizontal screen > base package foreign language > V1.73.7 > 2G_4G motherboard use
2-Update went smooth no issues so far but in my case 360view app is still missing in the Apps Setting Mutex section.

I noticed that zlink app and carwebguru are listed in the mutex section, zlink is part of the firmware but carwebguru is not as I installed it myself.
The update did not wipe the unit as all my apps were there after reboot.

So I am asking to this wonderful community if anybody has the 360view apk file at hand, I can remove it and install it again and perhaps this will make it available in the mutex app listing and finally solve the mute on reverse issue.

Cheers
Dan

1. Did you ever do firmware flash upgrade of 1.73.8 and its firmware partition table? (I recall you didn't)
2. Looks like this you upgraded with the tyypical firmware upgrade button in System Info menu?

If both #1+#2 is true, then xyauto's naming convention is more confusing. I'll explain more after confirmation.

Bro

This is even weirder
I went the straight firmware into usb and upgrade from HU route....BUT after "upgrade" the unit says 1.73.7 despite having used version 1.73.8 and having no issues or failures in the process, so maybe that's why this file is sitting in the 1.73.7 folder, who knows. I remembered about your posts about partitioning this HU, but for my unit the process was different.

I fixed the stupid mute on reverse situation by extracting the apk file out of a file for 360view I found in XY public version > 57 series brush kit > 360 panorama > Baoshi-car-with car model > gongban_YT57XX-v1.73.7_c50f79c2_ota.tar.gz inside this file in the vendor > operator > app > Avm360 folder was the Avm360.apk file which is the much needed 360View app I was looking for, did an update and boom fixed! In case other YT7620B owners are dead in the water with the app mutex reverse mute deal.

So yes naming convention of these chinese folks is a mess and we need to rely on each other here to fix their buggy firmware releases.

Thanks Howard

Here is what I think happened since you never flashed 1.73.8 firmware and its new partition table.

- 1.73.7 firmware will error on ota upgrade of 1.73.8 firmware with 1.73.8 partition table. So clearly this didn't happen to you so you ota upgraded a firmware with 1.73.7 partition table.

- xyauto released 1.73.8 firmware feature set with 1.73.7 partition table. They probably did this after lots of complaint from the field on 1.73.8 requiring firmware flashing for upgrade. For YT5760B, the 1.73.8 feature set 1.73.7 partition table firmware was in directory named 1.73.7. Just checked this for YT7260B, its the same.

Anyway, xyauto configuration control obviously has lots of errors haha.

Makes sense, a major change like a partition upgrade is something that most users might not able to perform and could cause more harm than good, it requires experience, knowledge and tools. I could check the computer version of 1.73.8 maybe that one does the partitioning black magic job.

We're gonna have to charge XY for customer support lol.

Thanks mate

I think you got it from this directory (can't tell from your download link as browser doesn't translate download links)

If this is the file directory, then it is correct for vertical units.

I heard from @mantecon1 older horizontal and vertical firmware bricked HU if installed the wrong one but newer firmware seems to fix this now (just display incorrect orientation). Maybe there is some issue during xyauto horizontal and veritical firmware display merging.

I know touch screen can be configured to different resolution and orientations (But it won't match the display if set wrong and have to "guess" where to touch) I don't know if there is a similar display orientation setting somewehre.

Yes I already took a photo of IMEI. I think that's my problem I format using that option and erase some of the important files with in the HU. In manual format there is an option for EMMC (Boot1,Boot2, USER). May I will find some fix for it. or if anyone can extract there files so that I can use to try to write memory back like in this video :

@2:15 in the video, his thumb is over the 2x DDR memory. Its under the shield in your HU.

I recently researched a dead eMMC for HiSense Android TV. eMMC is not simple flash chip. It has many features
    • Handles NAND Flash wear leveling
    • Provide multiple partitions (boot/user)
    • Access security to boot
    • Has CPU inside
Here is eMMC spec by JEDEC (memory standards group. Need to make free account to access)

    eMMC4.5 (jedec.org)

I'm not certain of the following but after studying HiSense TV Android eMMC, I think the following is boot process for all Android with boot code stored in eMMC
    • main SOC request code from specific eMMC location (boot1?)
    • boot1 code (maybe also boot2? I don't know) start running basic system (not yet HU firmware)
    • basic system has more sophisticated communication capabilities to/from USB/PC to flash remainder of the firmware
    • I think boot1 code can be secured
When we do format all and flash computer pkg firmware. I think we are not touching boot1 at all. If boot1 is lost, I think typical computer flashing process doesn't work (HU has no basic system to talk to PC). Need to first get the correct boot1 (has to match the HW) using the memory writing solution outlined in the video. So a key question is

Where did you get the boot1? And does it match your HW?

Since YT5760B has so many variations. Maybe there is slightly different boot1 for slightly different HW versions. Its probably desirable to get boot1 from matching HW version #s on your board.

In HiSense TV, writing boot1 required security access and need to contact SOC manufacturer (MSTAR who is also acquired by MTK just like AutoChips). I guess this is not necessary for AutoChips from the youtube video. But it is still necessary to get correct boot1 and the flash location. I don't know any details here.

I don't have any experience here. Just sharing some basic knowledge of Android boot process.

    Hello,

I have bought a Android radio and it had the builtin 360 app. But it is an other app than a friend of my have on his device. It also says that I have to register on wechat but can not figuren it out how to do this.

Is it possible to flash a different rom for this device?

I don't think it is really Android 12 but I can not see the system info of Android because this menu is not available.

    Ram 6 gb

You have different HU firmware than this thread. See Boison B200 under "Other AC8259HUs" tab

I'm not sure how robust is the B200 forums on firmware upgrades. Its easy to brick these HUs so make sure you read and confirm clear robust B200 upgrade procedure before attempting. This forum's HU (YT5670B) has firmware released on file server by firmware developer. However, many HUs owners post firmware they received from vendor in forums.

On 360 app on our HU, you buy HU version with this feature, then the vendor preinstall 360 app (roundadas) license. Yous says not activated so maybe you didn't purchase this feature?

Thanks, perhaps it is better to install UI17/20 on 3 split screen package.

There is a problem of UI17/20 with normal package when 360 camera system installed, i.e, When reversing, the rear view screen of the 360 system occasionally does not display.

I will try to install the 3 split screen package next time, to observe if the problem still exists.
I installed latest version of UI20 in xyauto site(June 1). After 2 day of testing, It seems the problem of 360 was solved.
So I need not to test the 3 split screen base package.

Late Feb release of an xyauto UI is pretty good. Has maps (I use with google maps app with offline maps), radio, HU music player, a fixed app launch icon pane (left vertical) and a user changeable app launch icon pane (lower bottom) all on one screen.

Generally quite nice. google maps has voice input search, auto dark mode at night while navigating (none navigation mode unfortunately stays in day mode) map will be always north up while driving without navigation route.

    Screenshot_20220429-113525.pngScreenshot_20220502-172333.pngScreenshot_20220502-212853.png

patch file link Note this seems to be for 1024x600 screen only. Didn't see it in other resolution folders.

Mode switching is a bit mysterious (I have a steering wheel button programmed to switch modes). In the old default UI, mode switch with switch between currently running apps. Seems to do nothing on this UI while being displayed.

This launcher provide everything I use so no need to fiddle with the HU much. Just power on the car and drive. The useful features are

    - FM radio (wife listens to this and its her car)

    - Maps always displayed and track your position smoothly (Seen other launchers with map. Position only update every second or so, very jerky display). Google maps fixed to north up unless navigating. Voice input destination via mic icon on google maps search bar. Maps always in bright color mode (quite bright at night but area is not entire screen) Navigation will auto change to dark mode at night.

    - BT works if setup to auto pair. Incoming calls pops up on screen. Can voice command out going calls with iPhone easily. Just say "siri call xxx" with iPhone mic able to hear you. iPhone looks up your contact and dials while connecting to HU's BT for speaker/mic sound.

    - Music player will play all music files in the system/USB stick.

    - Color choices are nice. Colorful but background is dim for night time use. Only issue is google maps none navigation mode display stays bright. Other nav software might handle this better.

    - Google maps generally likes portrait displays like a phone. This horizontal smaller window sometimes hide the next driving intersection change behind the green direction box on top. Not too big of a problem.

    - Left column icons are not changeable. Bottom row is user changeable.

I have recorder a video with the YT5760B system upgrade. It takes about 5 minutes to complete. In the attached ZIP file you can find the video.

You might need to reinstall 1.73.7 to recover matching zlink version. Not sure anyone who knows how to extract apks still hang out on this thread.
I managed to extract all the apks from 1.73.7.
    Strangely. I couldn't find zlink.apk.
There is ZlinkActivationCode.apk, which is the only apk related to zlink.

    -------------------------------------------------------------

    Update!
Finally found the zlink apk. it was inside the vendor.new.dat.br.
I have uploaded zlink apk here, just in case someone needs it.
I believe this is the zlink ver 3.9.27 comes from the 1.73.7 firmware.
I haven't got chance to test it on my HU (now is midnight here in Australia), will do it tomorrow.

Is it wiping user data as 1.73.3?

Just installed 1.73.6 on 5760B 1024*600, didn't wipe user data.

Actually, I forgot and left 1.73.3 (don't recall if it was 5/24 or 7/25 version) on the USB stick w/1.73.6 and 1.73.3 got installed which wiped my user data. But then I installed 1.73.6 over this without wiping user data.

Biggest change I notice is just the 2x boot up pop sound is gone. So maybe xyauto have more orderly sound hardware initialization now :)
