Hello, I see there aren't many cases out there for the Zenfone 8! So I created this thread for people to share their findings with other people.

Personnally, the only 2 cases that I saw that are not very cheap cases from aliexpress are these ones:

Cases​

High Protection​

• RhinoShield Solid Suit (Offers high customization, full case with optional printed back plate)
• DevilCase Guardian II (Offers high customization, bumper case with a swappable clear or printed back plate)

Medium Protection​

• to be added​

Light Protection​

• to be added

To Be Verified/Tested​

• FZZSZS Silicone + Sreen Protector (Silicone case and 2 tempered glass screen protectors included)
• Osophter Shock Absorbing Clear case (Reinforced corners, clear case
• Shantime Thin TPU Case (looks pretty cheap from the pictures, especially at the bottom ports)
• J&D Thin Clear Case

Screen Protectors​

Tempered Glass​

• Supershieldz 3 pack (rated 1 star, would wait before buying)

Plastic​

• RhinoShield impact protection

However, these cases are a bit thick (and expensive), so if anybody finds any kind of case, please post it here
Let's hope more manufacturers join in and make cases for this phone!

Edit: I bought the RhinoShield Case, will write a small review as well as some photos when I get it (or IF I get it...)

There are cases and screen protection available at Aliexpress.

Leather, fabric, silicone, You name it, it is there.
Also screen protectors, hydrogel and tempered glass.

Does the Zenfone have a screen protector already on the screen? I've seen Samsung Galaxy phones with protector on the screen out of the box.

Unfortunately no, it does not come with a preinstalled screen protector. However it does come with a higher than average quality hard plastic case so thats a big plus!

Pretty easy application, no bubbles, feels great, fingerprints work the same as before, and it's very case friendly, a bit too friendly even for the ASUS case.

I see many dust particles. Are they under or above the mentioned film?
And why you applied film instead of their glass?

Oh yeah, the film was dirty when I took the pic.
Hmm, now that I think about it, maybe I should have went with glass... Oh well not the end of the world

Yeah, It looks like also it (film) has not good quality of the sides. like it was cut by kitchen knife instead of professional tools or laser idk.

I use this case: Link I like it very much. Grippier Than the original, feels good in hand.

Also tried this hydrogel protector.
It does not work with fingerprint reader unfortunately: Link

How protective would you says it is? So I can add it to the list (how thin is it and does it look like it would absorb shocks easily or badly)

One full covering IMAK Pro+ (Or the kinda, names vary depending on site) and a CALANS Not-full-covering 9H.
The CALANS seats very badly and leaves air on the sides.

With neither does the fingerprint reader work properly. It is a hit and miss game of hundreds of tries to even register a fingerprint and especially the tips are really hard to register.

Seems like using a protector on this phone is a no go.

Do not buy from Amazon the screen protectors "LEEKUANGSU [2 Pack] for ASUS Zenfone 8". They are 3.5 mm too short and the packaging does not mention Asus Zenfone 8. Just a scam.

Hi.
im looking for a case that turns of the screen when closing it.
The phone is listed to have a hall sensor so it should be possible.
Just bought a cheap flip cover on AliExpress but it doesent work.
Anybody that knows about a working one ? Or maybe the hardware doesent support it after all?
