Accidentally hit the wrong button, now what?

My phone currently shows OC4 as my current version. I've had root for as long as I can remember and the other day I accidentally hit install of the new update. The update failed, but it seems that I've lost root and no longer have my old recovery screen. Is there anything I can do to regain root? Also, my phone has been insanely laggy lately as well. Really dreading having to do a wipe and hoping someone has an easy (or semi-easy) solution. Thanks!

Had the same thing happen to me, except update downloaded and now is asking to install that!

you can only downgrade by flashing. That's why you disable the updates requests after rooting...
