It appears now that moforola haves this too.

You have to discover what is the nvram directory asking to a neghborhood or friend that haves a G4 plus like yours.

After , try copy the nvram files, for see what happen like this link explained in a Samsung filthy device:

TWRP - Wipe - Selected everything/ every folder (it was 4 in the morning and i was sleepy...dont judge me for doing this ) this left my phone without an OS. Downloaded the stock ROM, flashed it and now IMEI is shown as unknown.

Bro same happened with me,
if someone can upload a backup file it will help us both

It is possible that i flashed the wrong stock ROM according to my model. Some people are saying Indian version is different compared to the file factory link thats been on top of google search if you look for the stock ROM for Moto G4 plus so i wouldnt jump to any conclusions just yet. I am trying the different file that worked for some other guy and see if that works for me. Will update the post if it does.

That is what im worried about as well but it worked for this guy and he mentioned that he has the same version XT1643 ( which is what i have). I started downloading it like 30 minutes ago. It should be done in like 5 minutes and ill try flashing it. If it works ill you know.

Many times with other smartphones I've wiped everything with TWRP and then flashed a new ROM and I never had problem with that. Are you sure you ran the correct commands to flash the ROM?

Yes I did root it.

They are copying the samsung filthy strategy, now, before wipe anything, we have be aware. Very aware!

Htc now, is inbuilting the build.prop inside the boot.img... when editing or not, the build.prop, is re-extracted at each boot. Like init.rc. they are billtifull pigs!

i have unlocked the bootloader, then flashed supersu, after that the phone does not boots.
So i downloaded the stock firmware image for xt1643 from here: http://www.filefactory.com/file/6jgqz4jlyiyj
After flashing this file, there was no sim card detection, no wifi, no imei, no wifi mac address
I havent taken any backup so please can anyone help me of providing a solution to this problem or upload a backup file for indian moto g4 plus xt1643

Bro i think its just that u installed an incorrect firmware. There is some problem with the naming of firmwares on file factory and that's the reason for a lot of confusion. There are a couple of other threads on xda as well regarding the correct firmware for our device, please check them and install the correct firmware and your problem should be solved.

Edit: sorry i didn't realize that the issue was resolved [emoji106]

The Nougat Firmware:

Be sure to have the fastboot and adb drivers installed.

Extract the firmware in the adb folder and run:
oem lock.bat to flash the firmware and relock the bootloader
or
oem flash.bat just to flash the firmware and retain the unlocked bootloader.

Tried both the firmwares myself and they work just fine on my xt1643.
Do share your results and good luck.

Since this topic started 2 years ago, it's likely the flash file you were asking for is very old, and may cause you more issues than it would solve
