According to LG support, Oreo update for H850 has rolled out.

Well LG Support Germany knows nothing - they said that they still haven't been notified by the "mother house" in Koreo about any schedule.
This is the same that LG did with G4 about Nougat update. LG simply is trolling every user asking them about Oreo update for the G5. LG never more.

I won't buy any LG smartphone anymore. There's no any update more than one year. LG , a irresponsible company !!
Heyhey, no reason to hate LG (on the G5 Update at least). The Oreo Kernel Source for Korean Models is out. That means they are finished with the whole ROM (unlike Nougat for the G4). Why shouldn't they release a finished rom?

Oreo released in South Korea for V20. G5 must be soon.

This usually comes before the the update so I believe we still have to wait as we are missing kernel source for oreo on H850 variants.

Would this relock the bootloader if it comes out..being rooted I'll have to go and update through lg bridge
Doing it manually is the only way to relock bootloader I know off. Uses LG Bridge to flash .kdz files before and never locked it.
Even so you should still have the unlock.bin on the email they sent you when unlocking or can ask for it again, so you shouldn't be worried.

There can't be an update out yet. We korean F700 users haven't received anything yet, not likely any other variant will get an update before that. Just sayin'
Now now be paitent. As it states on the fido canada website the g5 is excpected to get oreo in october for the h831 (canadian model) even if you dont have a canadian g5 the g5 is gonna get oreo. Just be patient
