Hello,

As the title says, can a RAW format (.dng or any other raw format) picture be exported from the achromatic (black and white) sensor?

I understand that this phone has two sensors, one color and one black and white (achromatic)

I don't own the phone, so I can't test this.

If anyone could help, would be of great help.
If yes can you provide me with screen shots or any raw files?

Again thank you,
D.

Unfortunately, it cannot. Raw mode only works with the color sensor.
the B&W mode (one of the ways to get the second camera to kick in) only stores images in JPG.

Can you keep me updated on that?

I would really like a smartphone that exports monochrome data (.dng)

Thanks!
Monochrome sensor is really great but don't expect extremely good low light quality since it's f/2.2. I'm waiting for third party apps and I will probably ask to @defcomg (the developer of FreeDCam).

I'm not looking for artistic photos, I'm mostly looking for a cheap handheld device that can export raw data from a monochrome sensor for scientific use! And 200-300 $ is pretty cheap if it can export RAW data. Else its useless :(
