OK, I fixed this bug (actually, it wasn't a bug but lack of some HTTP headers ;) ); also added ability to import HOSTS from file on the phone storage or sd-card.

I also changed web sources: added http://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.txt as a primary site (looks like it's well maintained source), and commented huge one, to exclude by default (yes, you may disable web source by commenting instead of deletion).

P.S. Hey, guys, please check "About" page; even if you don't want to donate a buck or two (BTW, for all time I received... $0 donations :D ), at least you may download, install and rate my apps from the store, it will not cost you even a penny!

I have tried it and got the better result for my Nokia Lumia 640 hand set. As you mentioned here HOTS file blocks a lot of ads, is it really happen?
Actually I am just using this app taking the details of Geekermag (Windows 10) site. But if it really happen, what should I do?

Best you can do, it's donate $5 (or, better, $10) to my PayPal account to buy me a bottle of good beer and support app development :D

But, practically (as a 100% of thousands who downloaded my app), you may relax and enjoy your savings; no ads (from blocked list, of course) will be displayed on your phone, even in Edge browser.

No, white list should work. How to check (using latest version):

● use default (by installation) hosts sources
● apply 2 enabled sources to the host file
● check "current host file" page, you should see site 0.r.msn.com at the top (4-th row)
● now revert hosts file to default
● add 0.r.msn.com (without quotes or http://) to the white list
● apply same hosts sources (to enable blocking)
● check "current hosts file" page again, 0.r.msn.com should disappear

Hello!
After one day of using this app,I have a problem, but I don't know if it is because I am using this application or..i don't what could be else.
I try today to open my facebook, twitter and instagram app and I can't to connect to open and see it. It look like its all blocked. Only browser can go to internet and only on browser I can load and read any of this site.
But on browser everything that I log in,when I close it ,every page is log out.i must log in every time on every page that I open.
I uninstall Add blocker ,and still I can not connect all social application?
Is the problem Add blocker?
What should I do,I don't want to reset phone and lose all data again.
I reinstall every app and it's the same. Can not connect to internet and load contents

@jjoeshua, have you read disclaimer at the OP? Please don't use app if you don't even understand what are you doing!

Uninstalling AdBlocker will not revert back you HOSTS file! App has a special button for this.

I use the same approach (host file) on my PC, but here I setup a webserver that respond to every request with a 404 in less than 1ms.
If I use the host file without a webserver, it slows down the navigation, because every request redirected to localhost fails after a timeout.
