Ad blocking mod

Here's what I do:

Use a DNS based adblock,
Use disconnect pro,
And I have Crystal installed for Samsung internet.

I use these as backup for when I am not using NordVPN with the Cyber sec enabled (download the APK from NordVPN.com, not the play store, as I understand the playstore version disables the ad blocking).

Finally, use YouTube vanced for YouTube (still a few ads at top of feed).

Aside from what I just mentioned, I never see ads, anywhere.

I also don't use chrome (I use Fennec and Bromite). To fully block ads on chrome, chrome itself needs configuring.

I use AdGuard on my phone. I have the premium lifetime licence. It works really well. The amount that I paid for it has been totally worth it. It cleans up pages properly so no blank spaces.

And there isn't a way to do it. They are sponsored posts, and not ads. Only way is to use modded apks, which personally I don't trust.

Sponsored posts is just another name for ads, let's not kid ourselves here. 99% of apps now do this sponsored ads stuff. But this begs the question what is the point of all these ad blocker apps and services? They claim to block ads device-wide (whch is ridiculous lie) and they do almost nothing. They can't block youtube app ads, they can't block "sponsored" ads in other apps... They can block ads in a browser but so what? You can just install a free browser adblock plug-in which works perfectly.

I didn't say they aren't ads. They are just posts. The mechanism of them is to appear as regular posts through the feed so the ad blocking apps won't "catch" them.

Disconnect Pro isn't worth the money. $23 for an app that just block traffic but doesn't allow any filters or exclusions except "trusted apps" is quiet expensive.
I tried the app once and wasn't a big fan of it. It works, but nothing more.

Adguards dns is completely for free and with a Tasker quick toggle you can easily switch it off when needed...without to start or restart any app.
I can share my Tasker settings, if someone wants it. I also created a task to disable the DNS if I'm connected to some public WiFi networks where the DNS isn't supported.

Copy everything in a new textfile, name it whatever-you-want.tsk and import it with tasker.

Using "Brave" internet browser (like chrome without ads), and "YouTube Vanced" (YouTube without ads) i'm no root, and i don't see any ads on my routine use.

Have you tried DNS66?
Emulates a local VPN connection and blocks based on filter lists.
