Hi

I'm in the midst of rooting etc and am likely to stick with Nougat rather then MM.

Obviously MM has benefits of Xposed - with its various ad blocking modules as well as YouTube ad blocking.

However for those rooted and on Nougat:

1) could you provide your experience with what adblocker is working well for you?

2) is there any way of blocking YouTube ads with Nougat (given we cannot apply the legendary YouTube ad blocker module/Xposed)?

3) unrelated to add blocking. But which root method is preferable or does it really not matter... SuperSU or Magisk?

I use Adaway installed via F-Droid. Works for years on several Android devices here. Very few ads get through. Saves a lot of bandwidth.

It rewrites your hosts-file and because of that needs root-rights.

I use this hosts-file on my other computers.

2) I nearly never use YouTube but do not feel bothered. But I do not know if this is due to a hosts-file or my choice of videos.
