I am happy to release my Universal Naked Driver. This is to allow ADB, Fastboot & APX interfaces to work without installing any package much less multiples packages for users with multiple devices. Yes you can just install them and uninstall right away but why bother?

I was annoyed that I couldnt use my Transformer Prime and Galaxy Nexus without having versions and packages trip over each other. My previous post for the Sensation & Galaxy Nexus was helpful so I thought I would bring to XDA the newest Android driver available from source (which they call 4.0) and make it start talking.

Warning: Uninstall any previous driver package's you may have installed and also manually remove drivers by attaching your phone and going to Windows device manager and right click the entry for your phone and select "Uninstall" on the next prompt make sure to select "Delete the driver software for this device" then hit OK and reboot before installing these drivers

Code:
Google Nexus Devices ADB & Fastboot
Samsung Devices ADB & Fastboot
Asus Devices ADB, Fastboot & APX
HTC Devices ADB & Fastboot
Code:
[B]Windows 8 Instructions[/B]

How to Disable Driver Signature Enforcement in Windows 8:

From the Metro Start Screen, open Settings (move your mouse to the bottom-right-corner of the screen and wait for the pop-out bar to appear, then click the Gear icon).
Click ‘More PC Settings’.
Click ‘General’.
Scroll down, and click ‘Restart now’ under ‘Advanced startup’.
Wait a bit.
Click ‘Troubleshoot’.
Click ‘Advanced Options’
Click ‘Windows Startup Settings’
Click Restart.
Enjoy!
add amazon kindle fire (all models) drivers please!!!

Just wanna ask before I go through the hassle... I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 and S2, a Dell Streak 5 and an HP TouchPad... so I have 3 sets of driver packs installed... so will this cover all 4 devices including MTP drivers?

i have an htc driver package installed for my thunderbolt. i took note of the warning in the OP regarding the uninstallation of previous drivers, but do i really need to worry about a driver package for such an old device? are thunderbolt drivers even included in this naked package?

i'd like to have drivers for both my tbolt and my newly acquired nexus 4 installed at the same time. i'll be putting the tbolt up on swappa before too long and will need to return it to stock.

AFAIK This is the only driver you will need for older or current devices. Don't take my word for it.. Delete and administer and test. I think you'll like the result. I do know for a fact that these drivers work for many devices... And im not sure but other drivers maybe not used or get in the way. I doubt it though. Peace and drive on.

Windows 8.1 problems?

Anyone having problems with these drivers and Windows 8.1? When I installed them on Windows 8, everything worked great whenever I attached a Nexus device to the machine, but with 8.1, they rarely work at all. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers multiple times.

Once in awhile, I'll successfully be able to make adb contact with either the Nexus 4 or first gen Nexus 7, but it's erratic and doesn't last.

finally I managed to get adb sideload works using this. but out of my curiosity. I'm running on 4.4.1, I can't reboot from homescreen (adb reboot bootloader, fastboot reboot-bootloader not working, keeps saying wating for device). other than that all adb command works when my phone on bootloader.

is it has something to do with new ROM or adb?

Cannot instal driver for APX. Signature fail. Disabling driver signature control is impossible in W10, while i use UEFI, secureboot and bitlocker fo all drives.
How to install driver ?
