T-Mobile Wifi Calling for Vision
Radio 26.13.04.19 required for this to work properly.

Update: All in one updater no longer requires lib-ril and gps .so updater to be flashed.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Update to Version 2.1 Why? I have done some research on flashing radio images and found some interesting information. Apparently there are 2 files that pertain to radios in the RUU releases, a radio.img and a rcdata.img. We all have been flashing only the radio.img file but the rcdata.img contains further carrier information that directly relates to information in the build.prop file. I have put together a new 26.13.04.19 radio zip file that contains both the radio.img and the rcdata.img. The .img files were taken directly from the latest T-Mobile RUU release. This new radio/rcdata zip needs to be flashed through bootloader just like you flashed a radio in the past. As usual, you''ll need to rename the zip file to PC10IMG.zip before you reboot into bootloader. Check the MD5 Sum after you download the file to your sdcard to make sure it matches the following:

MD5 Sum: 360EA26286DEC39FC8008B266F470839

DOWNLOAD VISION_RADIO_RCDATA_12.62.60.27_26.13.04.19.zip

<<Mirror>>

I have also updated information in the build.prop patcher with the proper information to match the information in the rcdata.img. This is now Version 2.1. After you flash the radio/rcdata img from the above link through bootloader, download the latest version 2.1 and flash through recovery along with the EFS wipe.

Update: Some users have reported that they have received SIM card related error messages. I highly recommend upgrading your SIM card to the latest TM9177 version if you are running any other version SIM. The 9177 version is what is currently shipping with the newer T-Mobile devices pre-loaded with ICS operating systems. I have this SIM card installed in my G2 running the latest Andromadus test builds by Flinny and it's working perfectly with no errors.

I have put together a working T-Mobile Wifi Calling Add-On for Vision devices running the latest CM9/Andromadus/AOKP ROMS and the latest T-Mobile radio firmware 26.13.04.19. I confirmed this working with the latest T-Mobile .19 radio. This add-on will also update your radio lib-ril and gps .so files for better performance and faster gps locks without experiencing the "gps signal lost" error message.

If you are not running the .19 radio along with the latest rcdata.img, download from the above link. If you need further flashing instructions get them here:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=970809

This version includes the patch to the build.prop and all files included in Version 3.1 of the lib-ril and gps .so updater for the .19 radio. Once you have updated your radio/rcdata then flash the Wifi Calling Add-On. It is also very important that you flash the Vision EFS wipe after you flash this add-on since you are updating your radio drivers. You should always flash the EFS wipe if you have booted your system with different radio drivers.

Download Version 2.1 Wifi Calling Add-On for Vision.

IMPORTANT: While you are in recovery, wipe your cache and dalvick cache and wipe the efs partitions by flashing the Vision EFS partition wipe tool.

Sorry if this is a silly question-

Im on the $30 walmart/tmobile unlimited data plan and get charged 10 cents a min after my 100 mins are used up. Normally I will be charged if I use wifi calling.

However, I think on rooted phones if you delete a certain file it doesnt count against your minutes used while using wifi calling? Im on Andromadus Audacity Beta 3- will I be able to use this app and not have my minutes count against me?

I don't think that you can delete any file on your phone that would prevent T-Mobile's servers from identifying your sim card when you logged on with wifi calling. The only thing that I can think for you to do is call T-Mobile and ask them if it's free for you and if not, pay for an upgraded plan if you need more minutes. Maybe you can add the 'Unlimited Any Mobile' for $10.00 to your plan and use that in combination with Google Voice to get you more calling time.

Ever since I flashed this and the required ril update, I get intermittent "SIM card full" alerts even though the SIM apparently contains *no* texts. (When I go into the SIM message list from the alert, the list is empty.) Anyone else seeing this?

I'm about ready to release an update that should fix that issue. Should be up very soon.

edit: You may need to update your SIM card to a TM9177 if you don't have that version.

Just an FYI, I'm running Andromadus test builds. Flinny mentioned updated RILs in build 81, so I tried skipping applying the RIL updater with it. Wifi-calling was burning CPU like crazy till I could manage to boot to recovery and flash the RILs.

You may need to update your SIM card to a TM9177 if you don't have that version.
How does one check this?

How does one check this?

As for Flinny updating the RIL in build 81, there are some other rils and the modification to the build.prop that the updater modifies, so it's necessary at this point to flash the updater. I'm working on a version of wifi calling that will only need one file to be flashed instead of 2.

To check the version of your sim card you'll have to pull your battery and remove the sim card. The version # will be printed on it.

Been waiting patiently for this and am delighted to report that it works perfectly on my G2 running the unofficial CM9 Beta6/7.

Nice work and THANK YOU!

Updated to 1.2 and the newest ril update. Stopped accepting calls and started saying my sim wasn't valid. Reverted by formatting and going to the latest Andromadus test build. Things seem better now.

I reverted one ril in the lib-ril updater that was causing connection problems for some users. Version 2.3 is now posted in that thread if you need wifi calling and want to try it again.

    OP UPDATED TO VERSION 1.2

    -Ed
    2
    Important Update

I have updated the OP with a new radio/rcdata zip file. Apparently there are 2 .img files released with RUU releases. Both of these should be included when flashing a new radio. The rcdata.img contains further carrier information that is directly releated to the information in the build.prop file. I have also updated the build.prop patcher to match up with the data contained in the rcdata.img. This should/could help in improvement with switching problems that some are having and are reporting in the ICS ROM threads.

    Update to Version 2.0

I have updated the OP with links to Version 2.0. This version no longer requires that you flash the lib-ril and gps .so updater first. All patches, files and tweaks have been incorporated into one flashable installer.

    Note: .19 radio still required

If your partitions are already ext4 (convert accordingly in 4ext), then all you need to do is fastboot flash the radio+rcdata imgs and flash mimicry. Mimicry includes EdKeys' packages including the EFS wipe functionality.

You can use 4ext to format or convert your partitions to EXT4, circumventing the need for superwipe.
