Admittedly paranoid but still wondering if my phone is hacked... Please help!

Ye, it was a little funny.
Kind of reminds me of this bot that used to post on the article discussion field on semiaccurate, I think, years ago.
I's seemed to use some algorithm on the article and generate a special kind of funny gibberish. Well not complete gibberish, that's what made it funny.
The humor was also amplified by the very nature of such articles, "technobabble", as it where.

I can't remember the bot's name. It also had a signature type thing at the end of every post, seem to recall it was a word or sentence in perhaps a eastern-europe language.

I can't believe how oblivious some people are. Any phone manufacturered after 2015 is or has been hacked at one point or another. It shows the mass ignorance when I see people call another person paranoid for speaking out on it. Educate yourselves people! Damn!

Why do banking apps refuse to work on rooted phones then ?

They conclude the phone is already compromised

Because banking app see that the phone has root access and think that you might hack them.......anyhow there is ways to hide root access with xposed modules.

After my bank card was hacked i started finding the same kind of stuff on all my online activity.. My advice- go through your hard drives, wipe out anything that shouldnt be on there..Change any and all passwords and regularly check/repeat the process. I honestly go in and check/wipe out everything at least twice a month but that's just me. Best of luck to you and make sure beforehand that you manually back up all important data/contacts/photos ect. and even sync it all to your email or whatever you use just so nothing gets lost if and when you decide to wipe the hard drive. Hope this helps somehow!

No. Yes, they block app access, because mobile phones don't (usually) come with root access, and you need to use third party solutions to do so... It's really not the same thing. Like, I'm not saying its right for banks to do so, but I see the reasoning behind it.

The best thing to do would to be boycott banks that to things like that. But is that realistic to do? not really...

I don't think anyone is really hacking a bank based upon them having administrative access or not whether its a PC or mobile phone. Will a rooted phone aid them in reverse engineering the banking app though? Probably. I'm not agreeing with the guy you quoted basically.

I think companies WOULD try to block people on PC's too, if they had any reasonable way of doing so. Which makes the future kinda scary.

Again the computer can be looked at by the host and if you seem to have anything in the computer that may harm the bank's main frame this includes firewall settings that are incomplete or incompatible it will block the ip address when you log on to these systems they interagrate your computer that is bots from there side look at every thing on your computer.

[People can laugh all they want to, but my husband is doing some extra junk so he put some mess on my phone and I have been trying on and off for about 4 months to get it off.
Whatever the app or root may be, it throws me offline erases contacts, if he uses my phone alone it takes days to be able to navigate anywhere. I have factory reset, I have done updates, I have completely wiped the phone and boom right back on there the minute it loads. You can't disable the apps that look suspect, Android webview is disabled, I can't receive or make calls sometimes, I don't receive half of my texts YouTube does super suspect things and Facebook well let's just say it's like a dating site. Oh and the best thing is he says we were hacked, I mean they went as far as hiding women's numbers with men's names, placing women's numbers behind his guy friends names, encrypting naked women's photos and videos and even voice recordings, I think it was so nice of them to go through the trouble. He can look over my shoulder and bam no service, he gets on several apps and will be posing at the phone, he poses naked and if I say anything he says I'm crazy, he talks to websites and when I ask he shows me the phone I see a regular site, but the posing for it flexing like the hulk lol. Device abnormalities

Recently my galaxy s8 has been taking a lot longer to charge as well as constantly regardless of usage feeling really hot. I also have noticed that my ability to uninstall certain apps or change certain permissions has been in some form diminished. Assuming my phone has been hacked and the aggressor has total control what can I do to remedy this problem. Will factory data reset work? Also if anyone could give a serious response on the different ways a phone is typically infected or controlled I'd really appreciate it, any info on the above at all really. New to this forum and new to technological understanding at this level, your patience and help is as I said much appreciated.
