Hi,

I recently adopted my external SD card as internal storage using sm partition disk. Does this format the external SD card? I had data on it (pics, vids etc.) that I can't find now. Is there a way to get this back?

it does format and encrypt the sd card. I'm afraid your data is lost.
if you're a bit firm with linux, grab an image of your sd card and try photorec or testdisk on that image.

can I have a step by step explanation for adopting the SD card on my GT-I9190.
Currently I am running LineageOs (marshmallow).
