Adoptive storage on Marshmallow

When I get to this line: 5. Now type "adb shell" and then "sm list-disks" , the answer is "sm not found"
And what do I do now?

adb shell is working but when I type 'sm list-disks', it says '/system/bin/sh: sm: not found'. Can anyone help me??

Have you started the adb shell? Did it start without errors? If it didn't start (i.e. you don't get a shell prompt) you need to start usb debugging.

I think it was the right decision and there are plenty of ways to make sure you don't run out of space it was never a problem on my 8gb m2 especially if rooted, with a properly modified platform xml file to enable full media r/w and redirecting the download folders to the sd card.

Can you pls give me hints which xml file to change and how to redirect folders to the sd card? Root access is already there...
