Advantages and disadvantages of navifirm

never used this before but as the 7,8 is on this navifirm program is there any Advantages or disadvantages of using it or should i wait for the zune update is the fw released on navifirm the official fw is it just the same as if it was released in zune thanks in advance

no, it is official fw from nokia/microsoft. nothing custom there.

u can download official roms through it, only disadvantage is the there r no custom roms available in it

Disadvantage: it's not officially supported, permitted, and tbh it might not even be legal.

Furthermore, it'd be trivial for Microsoft to know who has upgraded before the update has been pushed out through Zune.
