Guys,
Just been having a mooch over the EVGA forums, and found a fix to an issue that has been bugging me at night. Essentially the backlight will flicker even though auto brightness is off. Most noticeable in games such as Jelly world which is very colourful on the lowest brightness setting. Searched here to no avail so thought I'd share here for anyone else struggling with this.
Thanks to Telrunya over on the EVGA forums:
"I'm working from memory here, but if you look under the Power Saver options see if PRISM is enabled.
"According to Nvidia, 'PRISM reduces display power consumption by reducing backlight brightness while dynamically increasing pixel intensity.' It's important to note that this feature is completely separate from auto-brightness, which adjusts according to ambient lighting rather than what's on-screen."
