> just purchased

I hope you got the phone almost for free because there is very little reason to buy a phone at these specs.
You really need two cores (they don't need to be 1.7ghz monsters) and a 1 gig (or at least 700mb~) of ram.

I payed £64 for the phone I know its not dual core but I just want a standard phone which has a good graphical gpu and still has a decent development.

I have/used to have a xperia x10i and development has slowed right down in regards to ics/jb however pound for pound the nexus packs the biggest punch! Thus the reason for the purchase

I just want miui gingerbread working and I am happy

Welcome, if you want a latest stable official MIUI 2.3.7, you can find it on my google drive.
I bought my nexus 3 months ago, it was brand new and cost ~ £200, but it was last model in my country.
I always wanted to have this phone, and I don't feel like I have to have dual core phone now. Jellybean on NS is fast as hell.

here are all most popular roms for nexus s

happy flashing and using nexus!

My philosophy exactly!!!!

Which ROM is it exactly? I am not aware there was an official miui ROM for this device? Also what kernel if any is needed? Also is it a English ROM?
I am new here like i said i have had a xperia x10i since 2010 and i have nexus 7 16gb that is why I went for the nexus 3 the exact model is Gt-19020t I understand there is different variants/ models .

This is an exciting time for me I am glad there are like minded people on this forum I think I have made the correct decision

Best combo for me is latest 2.3.7c (there is also MIUI 2.3.7 Scotland version) with latest franco's kernel.
ROM: https://docs.google.com/folder/d/0B...sp=sharing&docId=0BxlS0gt4GJLMaGtPYzIzQndCNkU
Kernel: https://docs.google.com/folder/d/0B...sp=sharing&docId=0BxlS0gt4GJLMT0lLcm9rZnZyY0E

You can try Brainmaster MIUI also, it has included it's own kernel inside.
Search it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1181050

Oh, Brainmaster's is multilanguage, official is only English/Chinese.
