I noticed this immediately upon upgrade from Prime to Infinity, then got caught up in all the hardware issues, and absolutely horrendous build quality issues. When REVIEWERS make comments that all 3 of the tablets they got from Asus have screens that creak and are separating from the frame, and that the one he was demonstrating "seemed like it would probably break in the next couple of days" (yet went on to gush about how it was the best tablet EVER! Even though the stock browser crashed so bad he had to try 4 times to get it going again, LOL

Oh yeah, sorry, I just got going again... anyway, did many folks notice that the software load on the Infinity was the EXACT same load as the Prime? I mean every single icon, widget and home-screen, every menu, and option, precisely the same as AN OLDER Prime Firmware? Meaning it did not have task-bar lock, Face unlock and that bunch of updates that hit the Prime all the way back in March. If the tablets hardware was mostly decided upon way back in February, and they did not one bit of software updating or changes (yes the kernel was different, but version was the same as Prime) then it begs the question: Just WHAT the hell was Asus DOING for 7 months? I can tell you where a few months were lost. When they got in bed with Google to put the Nexus 7 together. Most of us thought that a LOT of the Nexus goodness - and it IS a great tablet, especially at that price point - was going into the Infinity. As far as I can see, these projects must have been in such complete and separate silos that not only did they take a lot of people off the Infinity to staff the Nexus development, they also brought NOTHING back to the Infinity - at least for it's release. Worse, even though the Prime came out about the same amount of time after the TF101- it had a lot of software development and nice additions to Honeycomb, and later ICS.

I just know that while I was generally please with the hardware "fixes" applied to the Infinity. I was surprised, disappointing, and quickly board by the fact that there was not one single tiny bit of software improvements, additions, or changes from the Prime. Strange way to "Evolve" a product line. and just another unexplainable Asus strangeness, The best thing they did in some time? Tell us the JB was finaly coming, and when they blew the schedule for Infinity (big surprise) they COMMUNICATED with folks about it. Whether you accept the reason, agree or disagree with the delay, at least they provided SOMETHING of a statement. They are way too closed mouthed for my taste, especially when there is trouble (like GPS on the Prime. The went mute and just took the spec down, until people freaked... THEN they made a statement. They are just too quite and creepy in my view. Apple can be A-holes, but at least they do so very transparently.

Waaaaah! Go get another device and haunt that board and whine incessantly.

First world problems..."my tablet isn't perfect, my life is not perfect"
