After SOFT reset device is bricked. Absolutely

Even impossible to switch it on.
De touch battery - is not solution.
Anybody knows this problem?
May be any special algorithm to make device alive?

Solution founded, but I can't explain it
Use battery from another Diamond - will be bootmode (in my situation)
After return to own battery - normal start.
What it was, interesting?
