Thank you, I will root the device tonight and report the result after following these steps.

On a second thought, this method must be good for a device which already works for calls, but the sound is low or bad quality. I will still try that along with a few extra solutions which are only possible with root.

Edit: None of the many methods worked, so I finally solved the issue by flashing a different rom. Thank you for all your support anyway.
