Im on aicp and it happens. It seems that the way these roms produce battery stats and/or display battery percentage is off

Yep. I'm on AICP now and it still happens. What's weird is TWRP seems to be affected whenever these roms are installed. Reverting back to MIUI fixes the issue

It's kinda annoying to not know how much battery is actually left in your phone. Let's hope devs resolve this issue or maybe nougat kernel from miui will solve this when applied to rr and aicp

We can't simply apply a kernel.. the Nougat kernel is and probably will forever be closed source.

Had same issues with RR.Did calibrate battery and was ok for sometime but then after a while same problem.
Now using AICP 4 3 weeks no problem at all so far.

And generally speaking as we speak AICP beats RR overall..(personal experience)

Please use this Thread for AICP guys:

Don't know if the battarystats.txt file or named something similar still exist, but you can try to delete it.
Else for have a successful calibration you have to:
- make the battery completly empty (means shut on until dies completly // yes i know its not good but else it doesnt work correctly).
- charge it full withouth interruption (no reboot, no shut down, it should show 100% running and off)
- repeat it 2-3 times
- finish, system is able to fix it by himself normally.
- on full charge you can try this calibration apps too (not sure if those are really helpful) try it maybe without firstly.

...I'm starting to hate MIUI's aggressive task management. Just browsing with 6 tabs in Chrome with no other open apps and MIUI force closes the app WTF.
This happens on every ROM I tested (Mi4C 2/16), no matter it's MIUI or custom. If I browse with just one tab and, let's say a link sends me to Play Store, many times when I return to the browser, it loads again from scratch (preserving the web page last visited state, but reloading it from zero). In that moment, when I check free RAM from Recents RAM Bar, it show approx. 400-500 MB Free, so it's not a matter of not enough free RAM. Maybe MinFree settings are too aggressive or some other deep buried settings are preventing opened but sent to back apps to close and free RAM.

But this doesn't prevent me using these great ROMs!

Both XOSP and RR since version 5.8.1 has issue with GPS. It sees a lot of satellites and fixes on at least 12 (in 30 secs) both won't give fixed location (i.e. it's waiting for something to tell it is really fixed, like minimum accuracy threshold or something like that), I managed to mitigate it quite a bit with changing the gps.conf but I'm not sure it solved the problem.
