Although a sure answer to that can only be given by the OP, but I think with every kernel now taking the EAS route instead of the standard HMP route, the chances of an update are bleak.

Yes, it will. The thread title says "..& other SD835 devices". OP5T is also a SD835 device.

How to apply?
1- download and place zip in your folder of choice
2- open any terminal emulator app
3- type "su" without quotes to grant root permissions
4- type "sh /storage/emulated/0/Burnout-T1-beta" without quotes
