Hi All,

Just a noob on AKT here. I search this thread for any incompatibility for the Franco Kernel and unfortunately there's none. I just want to know before flashing this tweaks. Please enlighten me.
Hello there!
AKT is compatible with all kernels.
I have to say though, I only tested with stock kernel as of now.
However, I intend to test with other kernels to verify.
Cheers!

Wow, great to see you here @Mostafa Wael! Loved the AKT project back on the OP3. Do you still have a development slack? I left that when i moved to OP5.
Hi mate!
Great to see you around! Hope you enjoy AKT as much as you did with your OP3 :D
So far, I haven't thought of a dev slack yet, though this might change soon. I'll make sure everyone is informed, should there be any Slack group(s) created.
Cheers!

OnePlus 5 6/64 / xXx NoLimit 4.0 (4.5.13 based) / Flash Kernel 1.16 stable.
I am using X.A.N.A Extrem battery and I do not see any significant change on the battery. I hope this is a bug because otherwise I do not see any use to AKT
X.A.N.A had a nasty bug and now it is fixed. Check the Drive Folder to get the latest AKT version, which has a lot of fixes.

Awesome :good:, on Burnout now and do feel a real performance (snappier) increase on xXx rom with Stock kernel. Are you using stock kernel?
I remember the first release of Burnout with the OP3, de phone became a beast. Imagine the OP5 when BurnoutOP5 is tweaked to the max.

Wait a second......I might know why! You said you are on xXx No Limit ROM, right? When you flashed that ROM, did you select to the AKT Burnout option?

I bet you did! If you did Tell xXx No Limit to install AKT Burnout, it will force the Burnout profile on you every time you boot, remember? That was the only profile the xXx No Limit dev put into his Aroma installer. Sooooooo.......I'm thinking that is why your AKT profiles are not working working.

@Mostafa Wael
@RogerF81
@xXx
I would check this out. I bet everyone who installed installed AKT from inside xXx No Limit Aroma install menu cannot change profiles. This should be sorted out between the devs. This is just a hunch though
Right you are! Perhaps I need to make this a bit clearer for the users of xXx ROM.
Thanks for your informative insight! :good:

I am little confused. I'm using renderzenith 1.6.0 , with your recommended settings.

Schedtune.boost=3
Dynamic_stune_boost=17
Input boost freq = 0 for all clusters
Input boost duration = 1500.

And those settings applied on boot in EXKM.
In AKT I have applied soilwork battery profile.

The actual question is these settings do not interfere with each other? may be I need to disable applying settings in EXKM after reboot?
You need to disable the apply-on-boot switch in EXKM. AKT won't interfere, rather override those settings. Don't you worry though, the possibility of having a nuclear blowup is still zero :cyclops:

The best thing you can do right now is try the profiles out and report back because this mod has still bugs.

Sent from my HTC Dream using XDA Labs
Hey there!
Perhaps you can tell me if it still has bugs after the update? Looking forward to your feedback. :highfive:
P.S. you can find the latest version in the Drive folder linked in the OP

Glad to hear you were treated well :)
Yes I tested with stock kernel only as of now
I intend to test on other kernels as well
I am sure the OP5 needed Burnout more than the OP3, that's my personal opinion though ;)

Ah ****, forgot to edit that lmao :eek:
that's not that professional, innit?
Yes Just notice the same. Maybe you can provide us a list which changes these profiles do to the kernel so we can compared them in kernel manager and see if it is working:)

Edit: XANA battery extreme works

Governor settings for both clusters (I think checking the target_loads for each cluster will suffice)
CPU scheduler settings (in EXKM's CPU tab, click on "Advanced Options". Quite a lot should be changed, but I think check the values for the sched_upmigrate and sched_downmigrate will be adequate)
Memory settings
I/O scheduler settings

Right chaps, time for a status update.
Burnout Inclusion in xXx v4.0 ROM
First of all, allow me to express my absolute contentment to have my work incorporated and admired by a great developer of such an equally great and popular ROM - it means a lot to me. Now let us crack on to the business.
Concerning the so-called 'issue' most of xXx ROM users are facing with Burnout profile being applied on boot, despite installing AKT afterwards and selecting another profile, here is what you should do:
1- If you already installed xXx ROM v4.0 with the AKT Burnout Kernel Tweaks option ticked, Reflash your ROM - without wiping - and untick that option. Afterwards, flash the latest AKT zip from the Drive folder linked in the OP and you're good to go
2- If you are planning to install xXx ROM with my Burnout performance-oriented profile, then just leave the AKT options ticked in AROMA and you're good to go :good:
3- If you intend to flash an EAS-based kernel, then do as instructed in the first point and then flash your desired EAS based kernel afterwards.

More Busy, More Exhausted
With all your queries answered (I have literally gone through all of them one-by-one and answered whatever I felt unanswered appropriately), and most of the critical bugs fixed - if not all of them, I think I can safely presume I am leaving you with a quite stable experience, enough to lean on for a few time. Sadly life isn't all about XDA and having some dev fun, and a great chunk of my life is still occupied by my university's dreary classes, nasty assignments and - to make things worse - the imminent approach of the ruthless quizzes and exams, all of which requires me to refrain from starting my Ubuntu VM for some time. However, you won't find yourselves walking alone in the dark, since my friend and colleague @RogerF81 (author of Soilwork profiles) will be surely taking good care of the thread and answering any queries, should there be any.

Sorry
Last but not the least, I deeply apologise for such a messy launch, but i had that worked out all alone and was quite excited to deliver the project to the OP5 universe. Hopefully I can get all bugs sorted out with the help of your feedback!

Have a good day everyone! Cheers! :highfive:
