This ROM is absolutely awesome. It's only the first alpha version but it's already faster than 4.3 roms by Mike... Animations are smooth and fluent but if you're installing some app and meanwhile you're scrolling the statusbar etc. you see lags. Free RAM was maximally 198 MB which is awesome, but normally it's around 160 - 170 MB.

This rom is awesome :D

Two questions:

1 - How can I change the battery to percentage?
2 - When you are on notification page , the icon to change to toogles is not shown totally , like in cm10.1 . Is there any problem , or cm11 is just like that ?

Thanks :)

Ok, first impression on ART, if you turning on ART, you need more space storage. but impact on perfomance. bad news, our arc only has 400mb internal memory.... :(

Have tested the ROM for a few hours, everything is perfect for me. However, found a bug. Have lost the network signal during device being not used ( see screenshot)
After the reboot the network is back
Hopefully this report is going to be helpful, thanks!

Please test GPS (if fix) and Wifi signal (Stable or Not) and camera photo/video quality. I hope this ROM goes well...maybe it's the good time that I switch from 4.1.2 to 4.4...

Same here, can anyone please test Wifi signal & camera quality? These are two problems of CM that get me back to stock.

Can't really check gps just now, but wifi is quite stable for me ( testing at home, exactly the same experience as with stock or cm10 roms)
Camera app seams like the one from nexus 5, no green preview or smth, but I find the quality a bit lower than the same app on CM10

Overall runs smoothly, faster than 4.1.2 or 4.3, animations qre more smooth, more freem ram. I quite like it now. I have experienced few reboots once a lot of performance is needed, but my CPU settings are 122/1017, so I'm not using the max from my arc s

A few weeks of development will make this rom perfect, but even now its really good

Regards

default browser is practically unusable.. scrolling is beyond laggy.

Edit: Google Now works fine (with voice input), for whoever asked, but scrolling is again terribly laggy.

This is an unofficial build of CM11.0.
This is an attempt to stay close to official cm11.0 and not make crazy hacks to make things working.

This is a pure CM build, only contains official CM features. I will not add any other external feature/app/etc.

WARNING: This ROM uses a modified internal memory layout.
Our /system partition is originally 400MB but this space is not enough for a fluid kitkat experience and a full installation with proper google apps.
Our /cache partition is also too small to fit art-cache when we enable the ART runtime. We originally had 100MB /cache but art-cache needs ~150mb of free space.
I have repartitioned the internal memory layout, giving:
    450mb in /system
    469,5mb in /data
    8mb in /cache

If you want to use this ROM you will always have to use the included kernel or use a kernel that includes the layour changes. Bug reports with non-standard kernels will be ignored.
You will have to wipe the device and make a clean install.
You cannot restore nandroid backups from previous android versions or restore nandroid backups from this ROM to other ROMs that don't use the new partition layout since you risk corrupting the data.
I suggest to use Titanium Backup, Helium or any other similar app to backup your data if you really need to.

    Requirements:
    * Have the stock ICS 4.1.B.0.587 full ftf flashed (doesn't matter if you have flashed it in the past or if you flash it before installing cm11.0, it will work both ways)
    * LT15i (Arc) users need to flash LT18i (Arc S) ftf
    * MT15i (Neo) users need to flash MT11i (Neo V) ftf

Steps required for correct installation (order is important):
1: Flash boot.img in fastboot & reboot into recovery
2 (optional): If the device is not booting, reboot to bootloader again and run:
    fastboot erase system
    fastboot erase userdata
3: Enter recovery, go to mounts and storage
4: Format /system, then /data and then /cache (Important step!)
    5: Flash update zip
6: Flash gapps (recommended package is the one provided in the link below)

Steps 2, 3 & 4 are not needed when you install new cm11 nightlies on top of older cm11 builds in the future

If you want to return to a ROM that doesn't use the new partition layout, you need to follow the above steps again (only replace boot.img & update zip with the ones you want to use).
