<<<<<<< HEAD is the artifact of a bad merge/merge conflicts. Delete the entire project folder (frameworks/av in this case), sync again and use the correct script next time.

ok .. for this purpose I have specially installed Ubuntu 14.10 64Bit as a single OS in a spare laptop. i7 4GB Ram.

I have followed everything to the WORD of Mikes Guide + http://source.android.com/initializing + Wiki Page to Build for Zeus !!

I have replaced all the cm11 with cm12 as suggested by Mike on Google+ to me.. (3 times only as per Mike's code in the Guide)

3 hours 30 mins Still Building and Going on.. (Touchwood) hopefully nothing would go Rong this time.. I will keep you guys Updated !! VMBox is very slow on slow computers.. I hope someday Google themselves Build an Android ROM Cooking Kitchen for us !! and it will happen I think.

EDIT : ok its complete.. :'( please tell me how to hang myself.. lol
@Langes @Men_in_black007 @mikeioannina

is it possible that I install the Boot.img system.img data.img and recovery.img as we used to do with official ICS by Sony ??

please tell me what this means.. only the .zip is not created i think... any possibility that i can do it manually.. or i have to spend anothers 5 hours to build it again.. see attached error and Folder which was created.. thankyou

This means you haven't followed the guide correctly. From what I see in the screenshot, you haven't ran updates.sh so there are critical changes missing from your source

this is the code you have mentioned to build and suggested to replace cm11 with cm12 .. (only 3 times in ur total code)

cd ~/android/system/
repo init -u git://github.com/CyanogenMod/android.git -b cm-12.0

mkdir -p ~/android/system/.repo/local_manifests
curl https://raw.githubusercontent.com/LegacyXperia/local_manifests/cm-12.0/semc.xml > ~/android/system/.repo/local

repo sync

. build/envsetup.sh

curl https://raw.githubusercontent.com/LegacyXperia/local_manifests/cm-12.0/updates.sh > ~/android/system/updates.sh
chmod a+x updates.sh
./updates.sh

***This is the only place where their is updates.sh and I Promise I have followed the guide to ur last word correctly :(

cd ~/android/system/vendor/cm
./get-prebuilts (This has always given me error) it says their is no prebuilts.. from the first time I started building cm12

cd ~/android/system
. build/envsetup.sh
breakfast zeus

brunch zeus

where did I go wrong :( ? no way to flash system.img and userdata.img separately ? what about the kernel.. is it 450MB system that's why not accepting the 470MB system.img

Edit: I always copy paste the Code line by line.. should I do the whole 3 lines together ?

Edit 2: I have flashed the Boot.img and I get the Legacy Xperia boot screen and the CYanogenMod Recovery

Edit3: to rebuild should I wipe the Output Folder.. or should I just follow the Code and it will rebuild as a different zip file instead ?

The only prebuilt we were pulling was terminal and this is now built from source, so you can skip get-prebuilts for cm12

Try this:
  • delete the folder android/system/.repo/projects/prebuilts/sdk.git
  • delete the folder android/system/prebuilts/sdk
Try to sync again, if it failes again, sync with

repo sync -fj1
and give use the output

Sorry for OT, lets say i were to init cm12 and i had my cm11 source all downloaded and synced, I should just make a new directory to init cm12 and download its source again or just init cm12 on the cm11 tree?

yes
you have to make another directory and you will have to download the whole source code from cm12 tree
there is no connection of cm11 source code for cm 12

I always innit over an old source tree. Copy cm11 folder to cm12, innit cm12 and sync. It will be much faster than clean innit

Edit: remove all files from .repo/local_manifests/ before sync

yes, this is what i did before i was told to make a new tree to sync, it is faster! :) btw, i made a backup of cm11 hard disk image (i'm using vm) before i init on top of old source. Thanks!

add: remove local manifest? i though we suppose overwrite the cm11 local manifest with cm12 local manifest before sync? or am i wrong?
