I found today that A5 2017 dont need to push home button to insert fingerprint. Just put finger on home button and it read it and activate screen. I miss that function so much on S7

I have S7 but my friend have a5 2017. I helped him today and and after fingerprint sensor setup (i put my fingerprint too) i just put finger on reader and screen open immediately. I dont push putton.

Been using this nougat from beta then reset when official.
Battery & network worse than marshmallow plus get regular lag when typing. The battery used be at 70% at end of day now it's 20% no matter what apps are installed or power mode.
Had a poor data signal last week but someone next to me with an iPhone 6 had a full 4g. We're on the same mobile contract!
I reset phone etc but had to tether off the iPhone. This was very humiliating lol.

I reckon Samsung have reduced the battery capability & network to make the S8 tempting to S7 users. Considering the corruption at Samsung & their new edgelit QLED tv's are very poor I've gone off Samsung.

Yeah I'm experiencing the same sort of issues, especially battery life! I'm a pretty heavy user but recently I've started using the phone less and I'm still getting a fair amount of battery drain, checking battery usage it looks no worse than MM ?

My experience of Nougat is the polar opposite of yours. My battery is great, it is super quick and my network is as good as it's ever been.

If you can't fix yours with a factory reset, then I suggest that you get the phone itself looked at because the behaviour that you describe isn't normal in my experience

Dunno what to say. I didn't have any problems with nougat on my s7e (MTL). Did a totally clean install tho(not a factory reset, but flashed from the PC - stock ROM). Friend of mine whom updated from 6.0.1 have similar experience. He also tried factory reset - same. The difference is that he got s7. Both are exynos. He have your problem, I have better battery life(especially in standby) and tons better performance/smoothness. :/

I won't be surprised that this is the main reason why they delayed the rollout by so much and maybe they still have problematic devices.
