It seems I can go back to MJ5...

I have a theory... Going to test it.

What determines which modem I can/need to flash on my device? My baseband is mj5.

I'll look into it soon. But you gonna have to help me test it. What about NB4 does that one work?
LEt me check. One minute.

NB4 is working.

I am also noticing that I cannot hold LTE on NC2 while inside my house. I am not liking that modem too much.

That's weird. NC2 is working perfectly for me. After flashing NC2 my dBm has lowered and asu has increased which is a good thing.

So you are telling me ONLY MI1 and MI9 are not working? Can you try them one more time?

I've flashed them 10+ times each. Even Re-downloaded and made my own. They both do exactly the same thing.

Each modem will work differently in different areas. Also, I am using a ROM with an international base. They tend to not have the greatest of speeds with modems from AT&T.

I think it might be bootloader related... To keep people from downgrading the modem to use Chainfires region away to network unlock the device

If I have unlocked my MI9 with regionlock away, will it affect in anyway by changing the modern? I want to try latest modern but not if I'm gonna lose my unlock.

MI9 I have no signal at all, MI1 I can't boot. I have tried NC2, NB4, MJ5, MJ5 and those work.
I'll fix them soon. I'm currently working on making one-clickable's for updates.

Not sure. I know that people who had done regionlock away on MI9 and then upgraded to MLG modem still had unlocked sim.

MI9 now...

Long boot.
No signal.
Baseband listed as "unknown". Happens when I package it myself as well.

MI1

Long boot time.
no signal.
Baseband listed as "unknown"

Both MI1 and MI9 do exactly what the were doing before.

I think the problem is not with the modems. But I have feeling that Samsung blocked downgrade to MI9 and MI9 to prevent people from using RegionLock Away.

I guess I will stay with MI9. Working fine for me but just wish sometimes I get better signal and speed.

You can flash up from, not down to MI9... Are you on MI9 firmware or just baseband?

Walter, maybe we can find out what is blocking it and break that.
