I think I'm taking my xperia T back tomorrow :(. Every other morning I wake up and it's crashed, I have to hold the volume up key to turn it on. Has anyone else come back to their phone to find it's crashed? Sony's ignoring the issue on their forums, a few people have posted the same problem. I can't rely on it for the alarm, or if work's called me. I have to constantly check to make sure it hasn't crashed. It's done this right off the bat out of the box before DL any apps.

Hi Greg, just a quick note to let you know the link is down for " [STOCK FIRMWARE] 7.0.A.3.223 Firmware from T-mobile netherlands, skyfall edition for the Xperia LT30P (Xperia T) by crazymister " - went to give it a spin but failed :( lol.
Keep up the marvellous thread :)

Also - just found this in the right hand window (wtg xda - great idea for useful info) and though you might add it to your "how to make an ftf"section:

excellent step-by-step guide to creating an ftf

Sounds like your do have a driver problem. Bin4ry's method is very easy so if there is a problem then it's probably with how your phone is connecting to the computer. Please can you share with us what flashtool says when you connect the phone to the computer both when it is turned on and in flash mode

Will Xperia T ROMs work for Xperia TX? I am having trouble finding out a definitive answer. To my knowledge, I thought both devices were extremely similar. What's the deal guys?

The answer is generally try it and see, some people have reported that the screen is upside down or the camera has bugs. The phones are very similar but not exactly the same

Hello all,

Just wondering about flashing this new firmware with the s1 boot update.

I am using cm10 at the mo with unlocked boot loader.

In order for me to change back to stock do I need to fastboot a stock kernel? Or will the stock kernel file be written when I flash the s1 update ftf file with flashtool?

Cheers,
Lunar.

Make sure you are on a xperia T if you are updating the S1 boot.

Anyway, ypu should just be able to flash the s1 boot ftf and reboot. If you get a bootloop just flash the CM10 kernel via fastboot..
Thanks for the info.

I thought I may just go back to stock for a little while.
I have the full stock ftf (de) one that doomlord provided. So I can just flash that without worrying about fastboot?

Sorry to be a pain.

Cheers,
Lunar.

Yes, if you flash that in flashtool it will have kernel files in it. If its completely stock then you do not need an unlocked bootloader to flash it, because the files have been signed by Sony.

thanks for the awesome thread, i have a question about creating a backup of my original firmware.

in the tutorial http://mytechencounters.wordpress.c...eate-an-ftf-file-of-your-xperia-ics-firmware/
is says the 3 biggest files and they all begin with FILE_ but i have 4 of them in my blob_fs folder, should i take all 4 FILE_ or ignore the last one?

EDIT: 2nd problem: flashtool doesn`t find the copied files, when i select the right folder it shows nothing inside but there are the 3 files...

The three biggest files are enough, but the fourth file is an update to your boot do you can include it if you want.
in flashtool, just select the folder and it will see them even if it doesn't on the select folder bit, that's because it's looking for folders not files

thanks it worked :)
one more question: 2 days ago i updated to .223 and i took the files from blob_fs and did not do an extra update after it to create my firmware, so what firmware do i have now created? .195 what i had before or .223?

if you want i can upload it, it is .195 or .223 austria generic (this means unbranded right? :))
