You will have to use a paid service to Sim unlock your phone before you can unlock your boot loader. This is down to your carrier not Sony. You could ask them nicely to do it, but it may end up costing you around $10 to $15

Many thanks, if I miss the post please PM me so I can add it to the OP

Sorry if this isnt the right place for this but:

xperia T

after inputting the code on phone handset, bootlocker unlock allowed: yes

phone is rooted.

when i goto power off, then vol up + usb, phone just stays black screen, blue led in top left and pc makes the ba-dum noise for usb connecting.

that is all though :(

because of this i cannot unlock bootloader and flash roms it seems.

anyone else in this boat or know the fix?

think one of the programs stated adb might not be right, but with this being new phone, am finding resources hard to come by

edit:
ran flashtool when phone was on, and then power off, vol up + usb added
printscreen

Have you installed the sdk manager?

EDIT

Also, thats all the phone will do, you have to do the rest from the PC.

Also, make sure there are no other adb programs running, like flashtool.
i have sdk manager from my htc one x flashing times. will try uninstal and re installing that after work

CM10 to ftf

You can flash it into any xperia T. The only thing is it comes with Vodafone bloatware which can be removed with titanium backup

Hello all,

Having a little difficulty unlocking bootloader, I am following the Sony method and once I reach into fastboot, the instructions say open command box and type the line in but I assume that is adb? How do I access adb, I have installed Flashtool and SDK manager. Never had any experience with Xperia Phones.

Thank you in advance.

Thats a pc thing. The easiest way is to open up the folder where you want the command window. (tools folder within the Android SDK folder; as it says in the sony instructions) Make sure there is no file or folder selected and press shift and right click the mouse. Then choose
open command window here.

That is the easiest way to open a command window in the correct directory.

1. connect phone to pc
2. run pccompanion
3. when asked to update follow the instructions.

However, if you mean how to return to 7.0.A.1.303 firmware, you will have to restore the backup* you made before flashing the updated firmware, or flash one of the 7.0.A.1.303 ftf files from post number 2 in this thread.

{* You did make a backup before flashing the new firmware didnt you? Allways backup, just in case you f***up}
