Re: README![Updated 16/1/13][Q&A][ALL IN ONE Xperia T/TX/TL/V Collection] All Welcome

Do xperia t ROMs and kernels work on the tl? Thanks

Yes but you can't use custom kernels on the TL because the bootloader can't be unlocked.

Firstly many thanks to gregbradley, Bin4ry, Androxyde and Sharaz22 for the guides and tools for rooting my T (It took two attempts).

My device was running O2 UK 7.0.A.3.223(un-rootable), Here's how i achieved it:

  1. Upgraded to 9.1.A.0.492 using SUS and created a backup as explained from the link in the OP.
  2. Downgraded to 7.0.A.1.303 using the flashtool, link in OP.
  3. Rooted the device using the flashtool.
  4. Installed CWM recovery, link from OP
The device gained root but failed to boot into CWM recovery, so i started again from step 1 (except the backup).

The second attempt i gained root and the ability to boot into CWM recovery.

How did i achieve this?
I read the OP and the information in the links on the OP, after that i read it again to make sure i didn't miss anything.
After that i was unsure of a couple of instructions so I used the most helpful tool of all... the forum search function and found my answers.

Moral of the story= READ THE OP AND USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION.

Thanks again fellas.:good:

sorry if the question has already been asked.

after i root, i would be using the kernel in slide 3 for my xperia v right, is there a way to use back the updated official firmware while still retaining the root?

thanks for any help given.

Guys I just flashed AOSP on my xperia t and it does not read my internal SD card . But in cwm recovery I can access my internal SD card and can flash ROMs. I was on cm10 I just download aosp , flashed via cwm , flashed g apps. Do i have to flash boot.IMG via fast boot of the Aosp. Cuz I didn't do that step. Don't tell me that I'm in a big trouble I'm pissed :crying::eek:

No need to worry though, if your phone boots you have the correct kernel (It would have been flashed with the ROM in CMW if you have an unlocked bootloader).

Just make a backup of your SD card and delete/format the contents in your new rom under settings, reboot and then restore the backup of the SD card

Formatting didn't worked out
