Hey!

I want to revert my Xperia V from CM back to stock firmware. Unfortunately, the respective backup got deleted in an accident when I cleaned up my external hard drive . I found the helpfull list of ftf firmwares, but I am unsure which one to use since there seems to be quite a diversity. I have an unbranded phone, so I downloaded the intl generic firmware. Does it matter which one I use? Since there is just one CM firmware for all devices, I assume that it indeed doesn't matter, but I'd rather be sure.

Thanks for any help!
It indeed doesn't matter. The different firmwares are just different localizations and provider specific firmwares (i.e. containing provider bloatware), so with a generic firmware you should be set to go :)

After Flashing

Dear XDA Developers, thank you for all of your work and help. I was able to flash my Xperia TL (AT&T) today, after "accidentally" bricking it last night. Everything seems to work, except I have no access to internal memory (disk 0), I do have access to SD card via Anttek Explorer and such, but Gallery app doesn't open and camera app can only save to SD card. Is it possible to recover files off of that "partition" or do I have to lose everything due to reformatting? Thank you!

Fastboot missing something

Hi,

Maybe a noob question, but I cannot find the answer.
I want to install the new T-4.3 etc .zip
Did everything acoording to instructions on the forum.
Even was able to make my phone lie dead.
Even was able to recover the poor thing.

Two questions:
First question.
In fastboot mode I want to flash 4.3 to my phone
the command:
fastboot devices reports the presence of my phone
fastboot flash T-4.3_leak_278-DooMLoRD.zip does not work
fastboot flash zip T-4.3_leak_278-DooMLoRD.zip tells me that the partition does not exist.
what is the magic spell to make things happen.

Second question.
How com that the Sony connect software and Emma cannot make contact to my T bird and adb, fastboot and flashtool have no problem at all finding my phone.

Thank you very much for your answer. (the phone IS in recovery, everything is set, and now?)
The fact of the matter is that I cannot get the damned thing into recovery.
I can push the vol- repeatedly as indicateded but it starts up like, like..... an Experia T

flash update from sdcard > choose zip from sdcard > then flash it wherever it is located

what recovery do you have installed? is your bootloader unlocked?

Bootloader unlocked etc. All done
Recovery from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2012738 for JB
Didn't inform well in the first post recovery installed, but phone doesn't startup in recovery.

My Desire simply gets into recovery, nice menu to flash whatever I want, but my T bird has never been flying that way.

Full on noob question from me... been out of the modding game for about 12 months or so and completely forgotten everything I ever knew... so.. I've unlocked the bootloader on my T.. but haven't yet done anything else.. what do people recommend in terms of;

A/ recovery options - flashing CWM (which one, where from?) or flashing a custom kernel via fastboot with recovery built in etc..
B/ Best ROM to go for? Optirom? CM? MIUI?

Thanks.

Hi,
Firstly, sorry for my english. I have several problem with my Xperia TX LT29i and I'm still noob in android rooting and so on.
I have rooting my locked device using doomlord before the root was lose after update to android 4.3. Then, I trying to rooting it back, but my
device cannot be rooted anymore. Then, I trying to search the problem and I found that I need to unlock the bootloader before can use flashtool.
I've success to unlocked bootloader for my phone but I've stuck here and little bit confuse for my next step.

So, I really hope somebody can guide me what I need to do step by step and provide me with link and things that I need to use...
I already backup my device using titanium backup but I cannot use that apps to restore back because my phone still unroot...
If I'm wrong and make mistake...please inform me...thanks

If your bootloader is unlocked, you can just flash the kernel from the leaked rom (by Doomlord) via fastboot and then a SuperSU zip from recovery.
