Hi Greg, your guide has been very useful a few times now so thanks,
I would like to know a little more about CM nightly roms, I have seen them mentioned but have no idea what or where they are, is it possible to pool some information here? I am thinking about opening a general thread for the FXP cm Rom but I am still a little new to this phone so am just waiting until I understand what I am talking about a little more!!!

Thanks for the thanks! Glad I helped
I dont think this is the place for that.
CM have their own site dedicated to changelog for CM roms and so do FXP team; that is the correct place for that. As for nightlies, it wouldnt be possible to keep up with that here. If you want to try and keep a thread going, be my guest, but as the fxp team say, they do not read non-dev threads so you may find yourself just asking people to read the dev thread and repoty bugs on the bugtracker anyway.

will this forum also support the TL or will it get its own?
Probably not.
At the moment this forum is for the Xperia T/TX/TL

They are the same phone just for different regions and as such have slightly different setups so not all mods/roms from one will work on another, but essentially it is the same phone thats why xda will only give it one forum

Thanks. As long as it's confirmed anywhere that the TL is rootable, I can live with that.

Stable CM10 released in the last few hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Link in post 3 under custom roms, xperia T

This is a major advance in custom roms for the T, and its amazing how quick this has been managed for a new device. Congratulations to all the FXP and CM team.

Also, new stock .ftf's added for UK generic and more in the noob guide.

Considering how unlocking the bootloader is now the only available option for rooting your phone, I'd like to ask the following questions regarding unlocking:

1) Are there really DRM keys that are completely and irreversibly lost if you unlock the bootloader?

2) Would Sony-specific apps (eg. Walkman, Sony Select, TrackID, Timescape, etc) stop working if you unlock the bootloader?

1) Yes. Official unlock loses track id.
2) Walkman, sony select (AFAIK), and timescape still work. Not track ID

There are other ways to root, you can downgrade from 7.0.A.3.195 to 7.0.A.1.303 and root using bin4rys method. Then DO NOT upgrade.

If you want latest firmware you must unlock bootloader

I mean it wont work. Unlocking bootloader via official way means it wont work.
Certain content on your phone may also be inaccessible due to the removal of DRM security keys and the secure user data partition while unlocking the boot loader. We advise you to create backups, since user data, settings and accounts will be removed
