Hi all.
Now i am on .3.195 , and so did the FTF file, but I would like to do in my old, who root without unlocking the bootloader.
How can I be sure to find out who is my old original software 7.0.A.1.303, to have one copy of my first furm, after i update to 3.195?

In bottom i post picture with soft. info from service menu.

My SI number on box from phone and In port for micro sim card and sd card is SI 1267-9810.2 BG,RO

I would be very grateful if someone turned to me about how to get my old software.
Thanks in advance. :)
I dont quite understand you,

But if you are trying to find the original firmware for you to flash so you an go back to it and root, you dont need it. Just flash any 303 frmware to root, then flash a stock based 195 rom in recovery

I want to get my old firmware .303. to root him without unlock bootloader and save warranty for now. I have my new firmware .195 in FTF, but I can not root it without unlock BL, so i want my original .303 too, to create FTF file and root safety. :)

like i said, you dont need your original firmware, just choose ANY .303 ftf file from post 3 in this thread and use that.

TX FTF

Ok I did a repaiir on my TX in order to build a FTF, the firmware downloaded and installed on the phone. When I went to the SonyEricsson directory there is the Update directory but no DB directory. This does not exist (C:\ProgramData\Sony Ericsson\Update Engine\db\13740270\blob_fs folder) . I did a test and reinstalled the firmware and downloading again is not required but where aere those files for building the FTF file? Help is required thanks. Yes my phone is backed up thank goodness. By the way I am using PC Companion.:confused:

ensure you have hidden files/folders enabled to view in folder options.
And make sure you are going to program DATA not program FILES

I just checked mine, and its still there

Thanks to all, in the end I decided to unlock my TX boot loader after this was completed I relocked the boot loader and PC Companion update worked. I now have a custom kernel with root and CWM. Information on this forum could be more clear but the intentions are excellent. Greg is very helpful and it is appreciated. All the best. :)

windows 8 flashmode/fastboot drivers

Still had no luck with being able to boot into flashmode or fastboot. On Windows 8 still get the "USB device not recognized" error message. I have installed pretty much every driver under the sun and my device manager menu has 5 or so entries in it under different trees:

ADB interface->Samsung Android composite interface

Android device->ACER ADB
Android device->Sony fastboot interface

Portable devices->Xperia T (I think this is MTP mode)
Portable devices->Xperia T (I think this is MSC mode)

Software devices->LT30p

Sony sa0105->Sony sa0105 ADB interface driver

Opening the flashtool-drivers.exe installer in 7z suggests the sa0105 drivers are for the Xperia GX, not the Xperia T. Could someone with a working setup in Windows 8 compare what they have with mine to see if I'm still missing something or have the wrong things installed?

Odd question: Let's say I've installed rhe CWM recovery, but for some bizarre reason I want to restore the stock recovery again. Would installing a stock .FTF allow me to achieve this?

Can't install ota update!

I'm on 303 firmware, rooted with locked bootloader. The phone tells me I have a OTA update to 195 available so I download it and click install on the phone. The phone reboots and gets to a screen where there is a picture of unpacking files and the graphic shows there are 4 stages of the process.

It quits out midway through the second stage and reboots, giving the message "could not install update". Could I have a duff phone?

I tried updating the phone through Sony PC Companion and Sony Update service but it fails when I try to connect in flashmode when holding volume down. It says "USB device not recognized". I am on Windows 8 64-bit.

uninstall and reinstall pccompanion to correct the driver issue

However, if you want to keep root on alocked bootloader do not upgrade via pc.

Not sure why your OTA fails, i suggest makign sure you have enough memory on sd card, battery is charged and try again.

There is no stock recovery
Let me rephrase my question: is it possible to reverse the process of installing the CWM recovery on our phones, or at least switch to the original recovery that came with our phones? For example, will installing an OTA update or PC Companion downloaded update remove CWM?

There is no original recovery that comes with our phones...I dont know of any xperia device that comes from the factory with an "origianl recovery" already on it.

However, if you want to get rid of recovery, just flash a stock ftf. That reverts your phone to an original, out of the box, factory released state, which has no recovery on it

You will also have to flash this in flashtool to return to latest stock kernel. This avoids bootloops with extended battery mode on 195 roms and 303 kernel. NB Link removed as some people have reported problems.
Hey Greg do you have a new link to this file? I tried the link on your Assaye Rom to fix the bootloop but the link is broken to download the file.

I'm getting the same error message "USB device not recognized" on Win8 64bit... Would also appreciate a working setup in Win8... Damn, I wanted to flash CM10 today :/

As has been said, there the issues are with windows 8, a (very) quick google search found this
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...indows-8/fd19f3b1-ac35-4aa0-84c0-58b66b382d43
not sure if it works, as i dont have windows 8, but you will have more luck finding a solution searching for how to install drivers on win 8, this problems is not restricted to xperia, sony, or mobiles....its a problem fo rlots of devices with unsigned drivers
