Code:
# Use one of your favorite root browsers ([I]like root explorer[/I])
# Go to [B]system/etc/costumization/settings/com/sonyericsson/conversations[/B]
# Override the existing [B]custom_settings.xml[/B] with this one: [URL="https://mega.co.nz/#!mZ4SEZLB!e6h4VntiJLUxupPMfri2BVGrCzJrlkE2UpGPyXuvqvA"]Link[/URL]
# If needed, make a full wipe (wipe data and cache)

I'll be getting more and more content here as soon as I have spare time to do that.
Also I want to get more carrier roms here, and more carrier settings and stuff here aswell, other than only Vodafone.

I couldn't find the ICS version for me either.

What I did was install 2.3.7 from here:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/38591400/st25i_6.0.B.3.184_Vodafone PT.ftf (found on androidpt)

And then use update service to get a clean update to ICS with factory reset:

Hi

I upgraded to ics using that French ftf but now I want to get to my brands rom but I'm unable to, even by changing the build.prop to match my SI and restoring using PC companion (I did that and pcc said that the servers were down)

So, can someone please post the Vodafone PT rom?

My SI number is the 1261-8803

I need this before the end of the week if posible...

Thanks a lot

Sent from my Xperia U

Edit: Even a CWM backup from a rooted VDF Portugal ICS rom it's ok, I just repair and it's done, what I really want is my phone to be with the Vodafone PT rom...

No problem, glad I could help!

Also, thanks for the ICS tft, it'll be useful to get back to stock with having to upgrade from GB.

I don't quite recommend using the .89, I found that debloating .54 got better overall smothness than .89... it's my personal experience, others maybe got different results, I don't know.

I'm actually using a generic unbloated .184 Gingerbread now, and I'm satisfied with it except for the speaker sound...

As TugaDriver said, AndroidPT is a good forum if you're needing help... but I found there some "noobiness"... There are some guides there that are very bad explained and some procedures that are incorrect...

To start you in, if you bought a Xperia U locked to TMN it has "Bootloader Unlock Allowed = No" which means you can't unlock the bootloader.

But, you can root it using the Bin4ry tool, that you can find here in XDA.
To root, you need to be with .10 Sony ICS kernel... if you already updated your phone to .54 on PC Companion, now all you have to do is flash .10 ICS Kernel, boot up the device, follow the rooting procedure, and after the root is done, reflash the .54 ICS Kernel.

Note!: This flashing of kernels is made on the Flashtool by Androxyde. You can only use flashmode. Fastboot is only for the ones that unlocked bootloader. Also, with locked bootloader, you can only flash official Sony kernels.

After you got root access, you can now install CWM For Locked Bootloaders by Atis. This is a costum recovery that you install and lets you flash roms into your phone.

After you got CWM on your phone is time to flash a rom! You can choose whatever rom you like from our forum that has "Locked Bootloader" or "LB" on the name.

All you need to know to start is this. If you have any questions you can leave them in Portuguese to me, via PM.

All the tools I mentioned in this post can be found here on XDA.

If you ask for SIM Unlock you need to then sent it by yourself to the Sony technical assistance here in Portugal, they'll change Bootloader Unlock Allowed from NO to YES ;)
