[All-In-One] Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 (chiron): Unlock Bootloader, Flash TWRP, Root, Flash ROM

Infamous black screen after flashing recovery then trying to boot the recovery first following 1-6 completed. Now stuck on Step C in the original post (phone is already bootloader unlocked and USB); if I had bothered to read about that before letting the person purchase the phone, I would have prevented it.

Any suggestions?

Looks like something went wrong while flashing twrp. If you cannot enter recover and you cannot see twrp, pls download the fastboot rom from here (http://en.miui.com/a-234.html) and flash it in fastboot mode. Then you can repeat point C. :fingers-crossed:

Nope... I locked it again... All. I did was download the unlock app. On my laptop and unlocked it... I checked oem info before and after... Weird

So logging in to the mi account to unlock my phone it immediately gave me the option to download the app. And unlock without having any OEM unlock request... I've attached the picture below. Its says download and install. Is that normal?

That's the way I did it as well.

Download and install.
Enable OEM unlocking on your phone in Developer options
Run the tool, it asks for Mi credentials.
Then it will ask to attach your phone in fastboot.
It will bind your phone to your Mi account, percentage will run up to 99% and then it will tell you to wait for 72 hours. At least, that's what happened when I tried it and according to many people on this forum.

Did you run the tool and did it unlock your bootloader without the 72 hours waiting time?

Yeah it said unlocked on bootloader screen... No waiting time at all.

Just checked my fastboot screen, it doesn't mention locked or unlocked. I'm giving up on your phone lol. It's unlocked and that's what you were aiming for, right?

If you mean by stock rom the global stable or global developer (which already have google play store pre-installed), then of course you can use google play, even after you unlock the bootloader.

Edit: I misread in your question "google pay" for "google play (store)". Sorry for that.

You need to install magisk and ensure safety net passes. Very easy to do and will allow u to use Google pay

Flash maagisk v16 then flash the universal safety net fix after one reboot, Google universal safety net fix to find it

That depends on what do you want to do with your phone. If you want to root or flash a custom rom on your phone then yes, you need to unlock the bootloader.

If I want to flash an AOSP rom (like lineage out AICP), I need to flash any firmware or just wipe, flash the rom or gapps and all done?
