Post some more specs of the charger please.Got him !
Is there a app that records this when the screen is off ? I cannot find one that stays active.Post some more specs of the charger please.
Box shows 5A.
I know i got a 45w charger. But does 15v 3a.
I believe the note needs 10v 4a which is why all over chargers i have are not charging faster then the oem 25wat charger.
No not really a concern, just curious to see if the charge is actually 10V 4A.if you're concerned about how fast it's charging, perhaps buy something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Gearmo-Power...+power+meter&qid=1567815198&s=gateway&sr=8-10
Possible to compare with the 25W that comes in the box as well? I've read a few articles it's only a few minutes difference. No not really a concern, just curious to see if the charge is actually 10V 4A.
The manual pic i posted shows that the charger supports it.
First time charge shows me it is really fast !
But when the phone reaches above 90% then the charging slows down.
My wife uses a Huawei P30 Pro and this also has a quick charger, so ill compare both in the next week.
Not just that!Ok you need a charger that supports PPS, AND you need a cable to support PPS(cables that support Superspeed are PPS cables).
45w is only needed if you want a faster charge to 50-60%. Or for a quick charge.45W charger is only 3 min. faster than 25W. There is no need for this.

Here you have comparison between 45W and 25W and Huawei P30. I don't think you really need 45W charger.45w is only needed if you want a faster charge to 50-60%. Or for a quick charge.
Link to the one you are using? Not just that!
I have an Aukey 60W which supports PPS 3-21v @ 3A and I have the correct genuine samsung cable, it still charges slower than the 25W charger. The issue is that it doesn't have a specific 10V step available to select so it drops back to a compatible mode
What cable did they use? Here you have comparison between 45W and 25W and Huawei P30. I don't think you really need 45W charger.
And here is full table - https://samsungmania.mobilmania.cz/ShowArticleImageFull.aspx?file=740072202
This is not my test, but they used original chargers and cables. Here you have it:What cable did they use?
Because not all cable supports the same specs and you font want to use the stock 25W cable with the 45W charger.
I've checked that with the charger 40w huawei it takes about 2 hours in loading and with the 25W of samsung takes 1, 10 hours, it seems that if it is not original does not detect well fast loading.Guess we will hear more about this later with ppl with the proper equipment to test this, but i'm just gonna base this off the phone notification.
I'm getting the same estimated charge time using my 30w macbook charger, 60w monoprice usbpd charger, 18w usb-pd anker power bank, as a standard adaptive fast charger I have in the house (15w i think?).
Meanwhile the 25w brick that comes with the phone cuts the time by about 10min or so vs the other options above.
I did read about the 45w situation to be tricky, but this is the first time i've heard about the 25w charger being special in this way.
Would love to see more tests and see if there are 3rd party solutions that can get the full 25w speeds, and maybe the 45w ones.
hopefully its not a oneplus situation where you can only get the best stuff from their own first party chargers.
