HDMI Bug

Guys i tried to stream with the red magic 5g but i noticed that it multi touches when i connect it with an hdmi cable to the pc.. i cannot play properly because it randomly has multi touches and it disrupts my gaming.. do any of you fellow streamers/users notice this bug as well?

In my global ROM Ver 3.1.1, the left and right sides of the built-in speaker are still intact when the screen is rotated. It does not switch

9. unlocking bootloader breaks the fingerprint sensor functionality.

I don't understand why this has been crossed. I have an up-to-date device with flashed OTA, and unlocking bootloader still breaks fingerprint sensor.

From what I can tell it was crossed out because it's not a phone issue. It seems to be something that affects all Chinese phones running Android 10

I've used the 5G in Europe now since release and these are my problems:

- the countdown suddenly ends if you just lock your device or remove clock from multitasking

- I see no way to disable the countdown time popup on screen while being in a different app

- At some point the japanese keyboard does not work anymore, it types weird letters only. I don't know why? Maybe after doing updates on play store? Fix is to restart the phone.

- There is no zoom in 64MP so every time I want to zoom I have to change the resolution which costs a lot of time

- Still no EU Plug 55W Charger available anywhere

- It's hard to see the current date in the calendar app when you're switching months or years or even days

- There is no NFC shortcut in the dropdown menu


There are more problems but will edit this post when I experience them again.

I can live with it, i only care about gaming!


so far i hadn't had any problems... i use it only for gaming, as i don't like bulky phones when going out from home..


for gaming purposes it's superb.. i play with headset so i dont hear the loud fan screaming when it's getting hotter.. =) i wish the fan could be limited so it's not screaming like a drill

on my europe version it doesn't either.. but it doesnt bother me.. since the phone is quite directional (where the triggers are, it should be the top side)

when i use other chargers (those cheap multi port aliexpress one) it does multitouches, like random press on screen. . so i decided to use the original one.

But i dont even use my charger when my phone is plugged in w/ the hdmi cable.. do you think when i get the dock accessory and i will plug it on the dock the multitouch bug would be removed? its really frustrating that i cannot use this to stream..

I really hope there is some way to restore the fingerprint scanner function, since I tried to upgrade my smartphone to use the "Black Magic 5G" Beta ROM to make it more stable, and I ended up breaking the FP scanner in the process.
Also seems like Nubia has no intention of even letting me RMA the phone since I contacted them almost a week ago and they gave me a bogus response today and just closed my support ticket. What the fug?

Also seems like Nubia has no intention of even letting me RMA the phone since I contacted them almost a week ago and they gave me a bogus response today and just closed my support ticket. What the fug?

I'm stuck with a broken fp scanner too

I was willing to buy the Jig that Jerry mentioned earlier to fix it, but they say they can't help me because I didn't buy from them directly

i purchased the redmagic 5g hoping at least the basics in the software.
now i am returnig this device. Most of the Bugs are already listed in the list. Some of them are such basic functions that a normal person cannot even think about the situation that there could be a device with this hardware and without these functions, like face unlock, like changing the launcher, like chaning the caller app and and and.

Here is my list of BUGS about the software department:
1 - To sell a redmagic 5g with this great nonsense software is as like as making a brand new car like a porsche carrera GT without touchless opening the car. every time you have to use a physical key.

2 - a greater nonsense and lack of common sense i found nowhere. Even psychiatric clinics are treating their patients BUT the software department of Nubia Redmagic is doing all this openly and are not being sentenced.

3 - Even emails i wrote them are answered in the manner that i could through my laptop out of window. Like you ask them a question of mathmatics and they answer you biology.

4 - i really want to know the mental damage name of this common disease in nubia software department. can we cure this?

5 - Even a neurosurgeon will have great difficulties to find any brain in their skulls. but may be he could make burhole and pump some fresh air in the skull, it could help.

6 - God cannot bless them. The damage is greater than the power of God.

7 - there was great potential in this device to beat up all other smartphones. just the software department was not smart enough to do anything. may be they got diarrhea and their smartness went out of them.

i this sense, i say bye bye forever to nubia and zte.

Where are you seeing actual complaints? I can only see someone ranting for nothing [emoji848] oh yeah those 3 points within the fine lines?? Well face unlock, and launcher issue is fixed already and caller app ও have no idea. Never felt like that had to be changed.

Regardless, those are ALL things that you CAN do on the phone now.

Not sure why I was quoted in that there, but I am not really complaining about the problems that I ended up with due to my lack of experience in tinkering with android devices. That's my fault.
But I will complain about the lack of support from Nubia, which seems to be almost non-existent. I am perfectly fine with sending my phone back for repairs, but the lack of transparent communication with them in order to get a simple RMA process going is baffling.

This device has a great hardware and specs but this thread is meant to underline the software issues. so if somebody is offended about mentioning the bullshit work of the nubia software-department then let me say : Have a nice day.

In global ROM has still no face-unlock, no launcher replacing (because the nubia launcher is ****, nobody needs to change the launcher if it is at least a normal launcher) and a lot of other BUGS. The list is at first page.

So please if you are satisfied with the device then write it in the specific thread, not here.

Please follow your own advice - it's obvious you haven't updated to the latest rom (NA v3.13 or EU v4.11) since some of your gripes have already been fixed/implemented (i.e. Face unlock and third party launcher support)...

Caller-App Bug still exists
G-Pay still not working and so on and so on

it is like the list at first page. 19 Bugs but 4 are fixed. 15 remaining. the balance is disgusting.

my last words: if i had some 700 EUR just for fun i would have purchased this smartphone to put it under the toilet-seat to feed it with little brownsausages. european standard is likely a higher league for nubia. work harder.

I am sorry for your issue, but if you are using 3rd party launcher. Then you have to disable gesture navigation. As windows 10 does not support gesture in 3rd party app. So disabling gesture may fix your issue.
